Well, aren't you a lovely creature.
Re: Albus Dumbledore | Harry Potter (1920s-Fantastic Beasts era)
However, it is curious that the stranger has taken an interest. Particularly in something that isn't real or at least real in The Doctor's universe. He will stay perched on the rock and as long as the stranger doesn't try to harm - will be agreeable and judging. Very judging.
Do you know what creature form someone has taken on - is the question]
Re: Albus Dumbledore | Harry Potter (1920s-Fantastic Beasts era)
Albus approaches the bird carefully, still under the assumption that this is a real wild animal. His look of delight doesn't fade as he says:] You seem like you've seen quite a lot, haven't you? I bet you've been around for all sorts of things.
Re: Albus Dumbledore | Harry Potter (1920s-Fantastic Beasts era)
And
Ancient.
Like really, really ancient
Fire and Ice
And
Forever
Like the stars]
Re: Albus Dumbledore | Harry Potter (1920s-Fantastic Beasts era)
He doesn't have the knowledge to guess what the phoenix actually is -- there is no Doctor in his world, no Gallifrey and no Time Lords -- but when he looks closer he can see vastness. Something that stretches out beyond his understanding, probably beyond the understanding of anyone from his side of existence.
For a moment, he just looks at the bird and blinks, before saying:]
Aren't you a fascinating thing.

Re: Albus Dumbledore | Harry Potter (1920s-Fantastic Beasts era)
Perhaps you just have an air of something about you. It's hard to say.
[He can't say how he knows, exactly. It's instinct mixed with wisdom mixed with a general sense of knowing when he's encountered something powerful. It leaves him with a feeling of respect and fascination and even glee at what he's encountering.]
Re: Albus Dumbledore | Harry Potter (1920s-Fantastic Beasts era)
Hallo. I'm The Doctor. Tenth Doctor. Welcome to Nautilus.
[An Animagi?]
Re: Albus Dumbledore | Harry Potter (1920s-Fantastic Beasts era)
Well then! It's quite lovely to meet you then, Mr. Tenth Doctor.
[He could be an Animagus, but that wouldn't explain all of it, not the vastness, not the sheer sense of age. It doesn't matter, though, because he's delighted regardless.]
Re: Albus Dumbledore | Harry Potter (1920s-Fantastic Beasts era)
[Mister is way too formal for this face's liking. Even if he is married. And believe Ten - when numbers are important. Whoever is this - they most of Phoenixs in their world considering how someone was able to understand such a non-verbal gesture. Which - makes it a 85 % chance that the world this person is from also has magic of some form]
Can I help you? Or do you enjoy being lost?
Re: Albus Dumbledore | Harry Potter (1920s-Fantastic Beasts era)
I think both might be the case. I find there's plenty to enjoy about being lost. But I would also be more than happy to hear more about this place if you'd be so kind to tell me.
Re: Albus Dumbledore | Harry Potter (1920s-Fantastic Beasts era)
You're here because thar's a reason you're needed.
Time is linear here. And not wibbly wobbly timey wimey.
Once a month the chaos builds up that is the space between the worlds and causes various things to occur. It's also what allows us to use bending. Manipulating the atoms around you - which allows you to create or even - change your shape.
Re: Albus Dumbledore | Harry Potter (1920s-Fantastic Beasts era)
And how do people manipulate these atoms? What various things occur when this chaos happens?
