Connor knows what distress looks like and that? That is quite a lot of distress. He's already approaching the woman, doing a scan-

No heartbeat, no organs, as far as his scanner can tell, there's just a....a rock? A pearl?

He hates this place so much.

He brushes that away. He can just rely on body language and her body language is distress and he shouldn't leave someone like that. "Ma'am?" He said, bending over to try and catch her eye. "Are you all right?"

She shook her head, on instinct, before even looking up at Connor. When she did, though, Pearl sighed and tried to force a smile - albeit without success.

"I'm afraid I'm not... But I'm sorry for worrying you. I just - I need to get home."

"Its no trouble. Its part of my function to help others," he said. He also totally and definitely can't feel worry.

Nooooope.

"Unfortunately, home will be difficult," he said, pulling a tablet from his coat. "You are currently in another dimension and to return home requires being able to properlt utilize a power this world grants to those with the will to use it," he said and turns the tablet around to the guide.

"Function?" Pearl echoed, as she took the tablet and began to scan the guide. "Is that a unique terminology to this place, or are you not human?"

"I'm an android. A machine made to look human," he said and gestured to the LED at his temple. "An RK800. My name is Connor, I operate directly under Cyberlife in my home universe," he added.

Pearl looked at the LED light and frowned. She should have noticed that, but - well, it was hard to be alert when she was so worried about Steven.

That said, the way Connor spoke brought up memories of her time on Homeworld as "just" a Pearl; her time being subservient and having to follow every command. But she couldn't start trying to open up his mind to his own potential yet. She didn't even know him - or if such a thing was possible for an android, since -

"Goodness... On the Earth I'm from, humans certainly haven't figured out how to create anything like you yet. Remarkable."

Connor will say no. Connor is very wrong and very deep in denial.

"There will be differences like that. On my Earth, there aren't people who appear to be a pearl and....a form of energy? My scans are having a difficult time defining tge rest of your make up," he said. Though now that he says it, doesn't he know this?

Connie. Connie and the monsters.

"There are a number of differences between technology, culture, beings, and....magic," he said. That last one is real hard to deal with. "Do you find warm drinks comforting? Or blankets?"
