Bizarre.

If Alya had to pick a word to describe this conversation, that would be it. She studies him for a few seconds, trying to decide if he's pulling her leg or not, and ultimately decides that he's being sincere.

(Adrien really isn't cut out for deception, after all.)

Adrien? Lie? Perish the thought.

Adrien looked startled at that. He frowned, looking away, tapping his chin. Has that....has that happened? He's never met anyone where it did, but if people could go back to sleep and forget at home, it wasn't impossible.

"That....so you've never been in Nautilus before?" He asked.

Slowly, she shook her head.

It's fairly clear he expected a different answer, but Alya simply didn't have a different answer to give him - at least, not one that wouldn't be a lie. And, frankly, with the number of years he had on her here, even if she did want to play along with it to spare his feelings or whatever, how little she knew about this place and what had happened her would get really obvious, really fast.

"I haven't," she confirmed. "At least, I don't remember having been here. And I definitely haven't blogged about it or anything, look."

She turns her phone out toward him, scrolling through her saved videos. Thumbnails flashed by - a green-clad superhero-looking guy with Ladybug in front of the Arc du Triomphe and a cloud of glitter circling around the Eiffel Tower showed briefly onscreen as she scrolled, but were quickly replaced with preview images from older videos as she continued - but none of them seemed to be from Nautilus; they were all from Paris.

"...I'm going to have questions on some of those pictures. The last thing I remember from home is the fox girl showing up," Adrien said. "...the second fox girl. Not Volpina." But. Later. He can ask about that all later.

He paused, holding up a hand, getting his thoughts together for a few moments. "Okay. So. This is Nautilus, not an Akuma thing, it's another dimension," he started, pulling out his phone and with a few taps, she'll get a text with a link to the IC guide. "In case I miss anything, that guide will help you get the basics. Fair warning, there's going to be a number of people who recognize you and there will probably be a few adults who just kind of pull you into a hug. Ten and Rose at least, not sure if anyone else will. Also Marinette, Nino, and my father are here. As well as the superheroes. And. Papillon."
