Ianto had never really been to the junkyard before but he was an explorer, maybe not to the extent of the doctors, but he was a curious man, which is part of the reason he ended working for Torchwood. He was wandering around, just looking when he stumbled across the Doctor.

"Excuse me, can I help you find something?"

I don't believe they had a significant interaction in canon, but need to canon review...all that....

"Working on finding a coil," she said, struggling with the casing of a microwave. "One that takes high vibrations. Or a welding torch! Or just the tubing, either way, I'll make do," she said, voice tight as she pulls and then falls back with a yelp as she pulls it open.
