And froze.
Oh. Oh, its him. Her oldest friend. Offering to help??? "Hello?"
no subject
That look on her face takes him off guard, though: it speaks of familiarity, when he doesn't recognize it at all ... but then ... if only he could still sense time, he'd know for sure. He's got a sinking feeling about this, though. Another one. He hedges a bet.
"Hullo, indeed. So the future really is all girl, then?"
no subject
Except....then...
Did she get through to him? Did Missy?
The Doctor flipped around to her knees, and pushing herself to her feet. "It really is. What can I say? I know one day a fall is gonna stick and I guess I wanted to try something really different," she said with a shrug, tossing the part from hand to hand. "What do you mean bend? This wouldn't be all that useful in another angle. Size, sure, but angle?"
no subject
"It's ... the other side of the coin, I think you'd say. We're cut off from time, and all our psychic abilities, yes, but ... this dimension runs on chaotic energy. With practice, you can learn how to manipulate it. People here call it bending."
He picks up a length of pipe and Bends it into a tiny Cyberman - half because it's funny, half to see her reaction.

"...there are days I could hate you," she said with a glare. "But Bill still won so nah," she said, turning her focus back on the item, looking it over. "How'd you do it?"

"Did you say the all girl line in reference to a thing you said before or has that not happened? No, sorry, okay, what is the last thing you remember because now I'm all twisted up, and don't know how annoyed I should be by this," she said, holding up the Cyberman.
"And what isn't how."
no subject
Not that he's into that so much, recently, but let her sit on that for a little while longer. He gives her a cheeky little look at the 'what isn't how' remark.
"It's like I said. This place is created by, and runs on, chaos energy. More complex than entropy, even. Took me a few weeks to get right, but ... everyone here has the mental capacity to access it and use it to mold reality into what they like. It'd feel like lemon juice in papercuts, all over, if we were still connected to the time stream, I'm sure. Conceptually, it's absolutely horrifying. I rather like it, but then ... I'm utterly mad, so."

She had seen Missy wavering. Just a moment, she saw it. She had hoped she would come. She had hoped to see her truly be kind, even if she was never very nice.
"It's a bit of a mix, I suppose. There's good, there's bad, and shortly after, I regenerated and that was....last week? Ish," she said, waving a hand in a so-so gesture. What is time with time travel.
Thirteen hums, looking at the Cyberman, tossing it from hand to hand. She holds it close and sniffs it again. She nods and then tosses it back and cracks her finger. "Well, good I'm here now, yeah? I'm still sorting out all the bits, I think I could go with a little chaos. Plus, I think she'd like it, if I was just a little more wild this time around," she said.
And chaos to create. Maybe that would have been a way to tempt Missy more to her side. Bend reality to her will without needing to break it. "You'll have to tell me if you do. So got a trick to it or just...let it go?"
no subject
"Everyone who tried to explain it to me did a bit of a rubbish job: they said all I had to do was picture it, and it'd come out right enough. But I ended up with a bag of jelly babies that tasted like the wax paper bag I put them in, and it's ... there's more to it than that. For me, it feels a bit like music, or time, or both. You start with the base of it, then you build the layers and conduct it all together, all the different parts that make something up. For the pipe, I started with what was already there, and first I took away what didn't need to be, and added what did."
He melts it down into a sphere of shiny metal, essence of junkyard pipe, then holds it out again.
"Give it a go. See how chaos feels as a medium."
no subject
She takes the sphere, rolling it between her fingers. "All right, let's do this," she said, looking at the ball. Music and chaos and time. Building blocks. Guitar strings and piano keys and beautiful curls. Building blocks in golden light to hop from the darkened chains and finally to grab for something more instead of only trying to outrun their reach.
Build layer by layer, part by part, she's a maker and she loves to make things and she loved those bits of chaos even as they drove her mad-
The metal ball changes, morphs, turning into a bracelet, a simple metal bangle, segmented and a blue LED light as a center piece. "Oh! Oh! Oh, oh, I did it! I made a thing!"
no subject
"Well done, my dear Doctor. You shouldn't have any trouble getting that coil to do whatever it is you like, now, I don't think."
