Anything else River would have said was quickly swept away and forgotten when she was pulled into Thirteen's arms and dipped for one hell of a passionate kiss. One River had no problem responding and kissing her back just as passionately.

Once the kiss broke, River was flushed and grinning as they righted themselves. Heaven's how she's missed her Doctor. The one that knew her and knew just how much she loved her. The one that understood.

"You're still brilliant and sexy as ever, no matter what the face." She's already pulling Thirteen in for another kiss, this one a little slower but no less passionate. Once it broke, she was still smiling and breathless, but oh so happy. "I think... your younger selves have a lot to learn from you if you're planning sticking around here, Sweetie. "

Thirteen responds to the slower kiss. And she's glad. It's always a bit of a die roll, regeneration, and how she responds to things, especially physical things, but she's glad that this affection with River still makes the same warm feelings as before. She does need to get used to the angle, but, well, she was always a little awkward anyway.

"I have learned all the things they're gonna learn. Amazing how that works out," she said, keeping her arms wrapped around River. "And I think so? It sounds like time doesn't work the same, so I can probably go back without them having missed me, yeah? And this place seems fascinating and the company's not bad either."

Her smile became gentler, her hand moving up to River's cheek. "I know you're brilliant. You're so, so amazing and so very capable." But she still remembers. Remembers the words that had stabbed at her hearts. "If you ever start to doubt how much I love you, let me remind you, okay? Don't get that silly idea stuck in your head." A quiet whisper, an intimate plea.

"You're right, it doesn't work the same. When you go through the gates, you can go back to the point you left and then come back if you want." River might have a little experience with this.

"Honestly, I'm rather glad to be back here after..." River didn't have to explain. Not with her final destination on both their minds.

"Good because a few of them need to learn a few, especially Ten. I think he might finally be coming around but, still not happy with him." Admittedly, River didn't think she ever would be.

But when she sees that smile.. Does her anger at Ten really matter? Just having this amazing woman in front of her, reminding her just how much River's loved by her.."Then.. I think I might need a few reminders every once in awhile."

The intimate plea didn't escape her as she nods slightly. She'd try. "I think... I know by now that it's very possible for a sunset to love me back."
