You don't want to know, Link, really really you don't.

Hearing the unfamilar voice, Raphtalia tensed at first, her tail poofing behind her slightly, then smoothing again when she realized it was another boy ..near her age? Maybe? She glanced around uneasily, "Um... I... I ..need to find Master Naofumi.." He might be worried? Or angry or... well, it was hard to get a read on him. "Where ..am I?"

Link walked closer, glancing at her shackles as she spoke.

"I don't know anyone by that name, but..." Okay, given the current situation, Link decided to ask something of his own first. "is he a good man?"

If the answer was 'no', he certainly didn't want to tell her that people arrived at the city all the time.

The second question got a more relaxed smile from him. "You're in Nautilus. It's a city that's connected to all the worlds and universes out there. It's really safe and the people here are great! You don't have to worry about money or nothing, everything's free, even lodging and food!"

Oh. Introductions. Right.

"I'm Link. What's your name?"

The shackles were a part of her for so long, she barely noticed them anymore. The question, though, was hard to answer. "..maybe..? I haven't known Master Naofumi very long..but he gave me food to eat when I was hungry." That was nice.. although he had said it was because she couldn't fight on an empty stomach.

The idea of other worlds - wasn't THAT foreign to her, she heard about them in the stories her mother and father told her. "Nautilus.." Maybe like Melromarc? How did SHE get there though? "Is.. that far from Melromarc?" She asked, her ears drooping slightly.

Wait what? No need for money? Everything's free? Pardon her if she looks a TINY bit skeptical at that, "...even for demihumans..?" He was much too human looking to be a demi, she didn't see any animal features on him. Maybe he's a different kind..? She straightens a little bit more at the introduction, ".. ..it's Raphtalia."

"He might show up...he might not. It depends on if he hears the call to Wake or not. If he does show up, you only have to go with him if you want to."

Link shook his head. "It's not really so much distance as it is willpower. And accepting that you've come here. The Gates can take you back home, but, it's a little weird. Like watching a play unfold from your own mind."

The term demihuman was a new one, but, he rolled with it. "Mm-hm. Doesn't matter if you're human, Hylian," Link pointed at himself for clarification, "mage, Zora, Goron, or whatever the Doctors are--everyone's treated the same."

Link smiled broadly. "It's nice to meet you, Raphtalia!"

Raphtalia considered a moment. Should she try to go right back and find Naofumi, or should she wait for Naofumi to come here..? She gives Link a brief glance - he doesn't know about the slave crest of course, but she doesn't enlighten him on the matter; only clutches her hand at her chest for a second, anxiously.

Though it does clarify that Link wasn't human, but a ..Hylian. She's never heard of the race, let alone the other ones he mentioned, before, but if this was a different kingdom -- or even different world -- that made sense, she supposed. "Really..?" Everyone treated the same.. by humans, no less. That sounds too good to be true.

She does have manners however, so she forces a small smile on her face, ".. it's nice to meet you too, Link." This ..might confirm that her Master hadn't gotten rid of her. YAY.!

"Uh-huh! Yeah! Do you want some dinner or something? And...uh, if you like, I can get those things off your arms and legs and stuff."

Link himself had three golden triangles on the back of his left hand, forming a large triangle. The bottom right triangle seemed to stand out more than the other two.

"And if not, I can still take you to where some good food is. You can stay at a Welcome House--they're like inns. Only, like I said, free. Or if you don't like being alone, you could stay with my family. They wouldn't mind."

Link's Nautilus Family included his adoptive father (a mage from Cephiro), his "brother" (his literal shadow of his own future reincarnation/great-great-great-etc-grandson), and the Princess of Hyrule.

All three of whom, were well aware of the fact Link was super impulsive, acted heart-first, and likely to bring strangers home.

Blink, blinkblink. "Dinner..?" Wait, he'll just give her food? Though the suggestion of removing the shackles and collar, she drew back a bit, shaking her head. She didn't think Naofumi would approve -- he wasn't -here- but she wasn't about to do something that would make him mad either. But Link was giving her so many options it was making her head spin!

She knew about Inn's fortunately, so maybe the Welcome house ---ah, but.She didn't like being alone, but she was also a little skeptical that his family would be okay with Link just taking home a stray -uh, random person. One step at a time, "Um.. I .. guess I am a ... little hungry. Are you sure it's okay...?"

"Of course! What sorta food do y'like?"

She gets OPTIONS?

Raphtalia's eyes just widen in disbelief, and she chews on her thumb thoughtfully, her tail starting to wag at the thought of delicious food. "I don't know what it was called, but Master Naofumi treated me to a meal once. It had rice and a yummy sauce, and potatoes, and crab..and Master Naofumi fried fish for me .." But she wouldn't dare think she would have the same such things here.

"Hmm....the All Blue might serve stuff like that, they're right on the ocean. But, if you don't like restaurants, I can make rice balls and fish. I had to do all my own cooking back home."

Link grinned.

"I'm not a bad cook, but, I'm not, uh, fancy or nothing. Mister Sanji is a real chef."

Raphtalia was clearly having a problem wrapping her little mind over the fact someone was offering her food like this. "I don't know what a restaurant is...but you don't have to do anything special." She doesn't care about fancy as long as the food is edible. Fancy is for nobles. And nobles are assholes.
