Bill was given an impish little smile at arrogant? Him?? Never! Though... by now he had heard that a few times himself something else caught his attention before the usual stern look could be given.

"The Master?" A nod, oh he knew the Master, "I'm terribly sorry you had to run into him, or her I suppose. What was he doing this time, trying to take over the universe or just destroy me?"

More like that is anxiety and I'm half convinced you are all going to hate me for this.

"Destroy me, actually. Well not just me if we're being fair, which I don't much feel like being. Bit of a tip, though. When in the future, you're given a vault to guard, and inside is Missy, maybe don't let her saunter around in your Tardis pretending to be you, yeah?" That... got a bit less of a smile from her as she rubbed at her chest a bit defensively before forcing her hand back into her pocket.

"My TARDIS? Why would I let him inside my..."

Well... there was that one time against the Axons but letting the Master into the TARDIS and pretending to join him had been the only way to save the Earth. Sort of joining a demon to destroy the devil in that case.

That was a tell. Bill rubbing her hand over her chest. Concerned he stepped around the console and lightly touched her arm.

"Are you quite alright, my dear?"

Hiding it from you, not coming out and just asking for help testing.

She jumped a bit at the touch, then settled. "Yeah, think so. Now anyway. But tell you what. You, your future self, really seemed to think she could change. Spent ten years with the Master myself before I knew that was who he was. Fair enough me being tricked, but I'd have thought you knew him better. Or her, I guess. But they both went off and left me and future you to die. Not like I expected any different by that point."

Nah, I've done it. It can be a nice way to test things out.

This Doctor frowned, he would not have made that same mistake but then the Master and his tricks were still very fresh in his mind.

"Unfortunately there is something else that comes with age... a complete lack of sound judgement.

The Master will never change. He or she, enjoys what they do too much. A pity I forget that."

I've done it before too. Always feel guilty.

"Yeah pity that for sure. Hole through my middle wasn't a good look for me, though I suppose it was better than what came after."

The Doctor paused and set a finger to his lips as he looked at her. She looked all in one piece now but she would in Nautilus, especially if she had died from her injuries. These sorts of things did heel themselves once one arrived in this world.

"I'm sorry, I'm afraid I haven't a clue what you are talking about. You aren't still injured now are you?"

"Not quite sure, actually," she admitted, pulling her hands in front of her, looking at them. "Not all watery which is a bit odd. But short version? Missy got me killed, not actually a surprise there. Got turned into this horrible Cyberman thing, died fighting at the side of future you, then my Girlfriend came in and saved us both. Just another kind of living, she said. We were going to explore the universes when I kind of wound up here instead."
