Wake Up! - A Peter Petrelli FST
So, I figured I'd jump on this whole "RP Character FST" bandwagon, and make something up for Peter, as he's one of my more inspired, if neglected, characters. I gathered a bunch of music from my collection, stuff that reminds me of him as a character, and how I play him in The Wake.
Without any further ado, here thar be musics!

1 - Blow Me Away, by Breaking Benjamin
This is what I call Peter's "soldier" song. He may be a doofy pacifist at heart, but when Peter has something to protect, he becomes something MUCH bigger.
2 - Fly, by Hillary Duff
First off, don't judge me. I first heard this song in a FFVIII music video, years ago. Anyway, this song is sort of a given. Flight is Peter's most commonly associated ability, and in the deeper meaning, Peter's greatest wish is to be his own man. He wants to be respected and counted on for who he is, rather than what he is.
3 - Boss of Me, by They Might Be Giants
This is meant to represent the somewhat childish aspect of Peter's personality. He's not very bright, and he HATES when people try to tell him to do things differently. In short, Peter's a big kid in a lot of ways. He knows how to act responsibly when it's necessary, but on the whole, he just doesn't care.
4 - You Can Count On Me, by Default
Have you forgotten? Peter's a "Hero" and he tries to inspire people, both through his words, and by example. He loves the people close to him unconditionally, and would sacrifice anything he could for them.
5 - Mad World, by Gary Jules
As much of a dreamer Peter is by nature, he's perfectly aware that he's constantly surrounded by insanity. Even someone like Peter has his limits, and when those limits have been reached, Peter can break down just like anyone else.
6 - Right Before Your Eyes, by Hoobastank
As Peter has gotten older, he's made his share of mistakes, but he's grown from them, and become a better person. He wants to be noticed for the person he's become, but not for the reasons one might think. All the growing he's done, he did for himself.
7 - Save Me, by Shinedown
Sometimes, even Heroes need to be saved. Usually it's from themselves, and Peter's no exception. His powers overwhelm him from time to time, with the weight of just how powerful Peter really is. In these times, he needs someone he can rely on, to save him from himself.
8 - All The Same, by the Sick Puppies
As has already been stated, Peter loves unconditionally. If he considers you a friend, he'll bend over bakcwards and then some, for you. He's smart enough to know when there's nothing he can do, but it doesn't prevent him from caring anyway.
9 -Fire and Regeneration, by Wendy & Lisa, featuring Shankar
No lyrics to this one, but it's one of the most commonly associated Heroes score tracks. This track has become synonymous with many of the Heroes cast, and evokes images of "Ordinary People, Extraordinary Abilities".
10 - The Messenger, by Your Favorite Enemies
In the future, Peter's "save everyone" mentality expands to the point where he travels into the past, to warn himself of the mistakes he'll make, and to change history for the better. In this way, Peter has unwittingly made himself both the mistake, and the solution. He thinks he's doing good, but as Peter himself puts it, he "Stepped on too many butterflies".
11 - What I'm Looking For, by Brendon Benson
Peter might not always know what his purpose is, but he always pushes forward. It's this simple, straightforward mentality that's kept him going, despite flying by the seat of his pants most of the time.
12 - You're Okay With Me, Kid, by Cadet
Unfortunately, no lyrics link for this one, as it's from a tiny little band from Florida, so instead you get their Myspace page. Anyway, this is another "PETER LOVES JOOOOOO" song. He doesn't care if you're Cybertronian, Human, Animal, or whatever. If he's your friend, what you are on the outside doesn't matter to him.
13 - Aurora - by the Foo Fighters
No real specific meaning to this song, it just makes me think of Peter when I hear it. I think it's just the overall sound of the song that does it for me.
14 - Walking Contradiction, by Green Day
Let's face it, by normal "Super Hero" standards, Peter shouldn't still be alive, nor should be be as powerful as he is. With his personality type, Peter has never really struck people as being the "all-powerful hero", and yet he is.
15 - Ordinary World, by the Gregorian Masters of Chant
Despite Peter's acceptance of his abilities, and the strange world he now lives in, he still finds himself wishing for his "ordinary" life. Things weren't so complicated before his ability manifested, and secretly, Peter would give ANYTHING to have a life that simple again.
16 - I Choose, by The Offspring
No matter how crazy things get, Peter stands vehemently behind the choices he makes, no matter how stupid they might seem at the time. He might not be the brightest bulb on the tree, but he'll always be the master of his own destiny.
