Part of my problem with taking icons from canon was a general lack of expressions. Part of it was that the design, IMO, was only okay. And part of my reason for changing it up is that death took a few hundred thousand years off of Ratchet months ago. I wanted him to still look older than the other Autobots would as humans, but just a little younger than canon portrayed him.

His hair is meant to be two tone - white on the top and kind of a reddish brown around the sides to imitate the design and coloration of his helm. And yes, those eyebrows are meant to be chevron shaped, which is why the scar on the right interrupts the eyebrow on that side. I've never been a real fan of designing clothes on TFs-turned-human to look like the character's armor (though I have seen a couple of artists manage to pull it off pretty well), so I decided to give him a simple leather jacket with the medical symbol on it. Jacket's probably either dark brown or black in color. Annie suggested a turtleneck for the shirt, so I rolled with that. X3

Now I just need to draw him three or four more times so I can actually MAKE icons. >>;
