Secret Santa
Gift Exchange!

Alright, guys! Today is the day!

What we need from everyone who signed up on the original Secret Santa post is a comment for one of the following purposes:

1) A logged in comment with your name/handle in the subject line for your assigned Secret Santa to anonymously reply to in order to link your gift (if it's fan art/fan fic/icons/etc), to let you know that your gift is in the mail/is about to be mailed or whatever else needs to be put down so that there's confirmation that gift delivery is happening.

OR

2) Use your comment to let us know that you have already received your Secret Santa's gift. You don't have to say what it is if you don't want to or who it's from (if you happen to know). We really do want to make sure that everyone who signed up gets a gift, so doing that will help Squee and I keep track of things better.

If for any reason you don't receive your Secret Santa gift by January 1st or at least have confirmation that something is on the way, we'll check in with you and see what can be done about providing something.

Just finished my third GR related music video and I'd like to dedicate it to my MoA castmates here, particularly Cy and Kai (Six and Ben). I actually managed to get every Wake MoA character into this thing, even if just for a quick moment somewhere.

This video is based largely on the Ben 10 / Generator Rex crossover, "Heroes United." (So SPOILER ALERT if you haven't seen that yet!) There are some clips in there from "Promises, Promises", "Double Vision", "Six Minus Six", "Hard Target" and a couple other episodes as well. Music is "Get Thru This" by Art of Dying.

I did this video with two things in mind... One, to showcase the team up between Ben and Rex. And two, to focus on what Rex told Six at the end of the crossover, how getting through it all had been the hardest thing he'd ever done. Hence the choice of song, "If I can get through this, I can get through anything. If I can make it through this, I promise you, I promise you." (A bit of a reference to "Promises, Promises" in which Six gives Rex the tanto with the Bushido symbol of loyalty on it. "Whether for good or ill, our fates will follow the same path." Something I view as a promise between two warriors, father and son.)

Okay, guys. It's that time again. I've been doing a lot more sketching lately and I'd like to do some for you wonderful people. Here's how this works when I make posts like this...

First three people to tag me with a request here will get a quick portrait/bust pencil/digital sketch from me. One character per request and while I prefer it be somehow role playing related (a character you play here or somewhere else), I'll take favorite canon character requests as well. I do require some sort of reference, though. Official images of some sort, an image you or someone else drew, a PB you usually use to represent your character or if nothing else, a really good description and if they wear a specific sort of clothing, an image ref for that. (Just be aware that in that case, it's going to be a little hit and miss due to lack of a complete visual ref.) If you wanna use your slot to request art for a friend of yours, sure, that works as well.

I can handle the following: humans, animals, anthropomorphic creatures, robots/Transformers. No TF movie bots, though, because those are like the bane of my artistic existence when it comes to robot art. I've tried to draw them and just...wow, yeah. Brain breakage. 8[

Finally, if I filled a request for you the last time I did this, I won't do one for you this time. This is just to make sure other people get a crack at this. (Last time, I got around to doing art for Red, Dragon, Ren, Lunnaei and Rev.)

Okay, so. After several years of not doing jack with fanvids/music vids, I finally started and finished one. It's not really Wake related... Rather it's entirely Generator Rex related. But because I'm an enabler and I think more people here don't know Rex's canon than those who do, I'm posting this here. Granted, one music video is not going to instantly clue anyone in on the canon material if they don't already know something about it. Still, I figure it's a look at where Rex comes from in terms of what his job is like...which is usually involves large, ugly monsters with really bad breath. Also if you've got no idea what it looks like when his limbs start transforming into giant blades and guns and things, here you go.

So as some of you know, part of the reason I've been sort of MIA lately here and on AIM is because I've been trying to do a lot more sketching. ~~Part of it also the fault of War for Cybertron, but we'll ignore that for now!~~ Sometimes it's easier for me to crank stuff out if I can get an idea and stick with it, though, and lately I've been running into the issue of ADD-like behavior when faced with a blank screen/blank sheet of paper. "This paper is really blank and--OH LOOKIT THAT SHINY THING OVER THERE. MY PHONE PINGED, I GOT EMAIL! THE GUINEA PIGS ARE SQUEAKING AT ME. AND--what was I doing again?"

So.

First three people to respond to this post with a link to some decent references get a character sketch. Portrait or waist up, somewhere along the lines of the Pandora images I did recently. Something I can churn out in 30 minutes or less. Preferably this would be a character you role play here or somewhere else. Canon, OC, fandom OC, etc. Or hell if you really just want a sketch of your favorite character ever from your favorite anime ever or...something. JUST NOTHING TOO HIDEOUS. I know that kind of ruins the fun, but I'm trying to get my art mojo back, not suffer brain breakage in the process. XD

Right. So. FIRST THREE PEOPLE. ONE SKETCH EACH. TAG MEH.

And yes, will be getting back to tagging later today. Have already managed to hit a few of the ones I owe. Derp derp.

ETA: Okay, change of plans because LOL I hate seeing people disappointed. If you posted in on the 26th, I'll go beyond the three I made the commitment to and try to do somethin' for ya. So if I asked you want you would have wanted, now's a GREAT TIME TO ANSWER. XD Just gonna do one character per person, okie? Okie.

Tch, I finally sketched and inked something. I started this like two weeks ago and it took me that long just to take it from start to finish because my brain is only half-functional these days, but my awful art block aside... ( For Ren...because obviously what we need now is more cavity inducing sweetness before your surgery tomorrow! )

A little last minute, but oh why not.

Decided I am going to be sending out Christmas cards this year and hopefully if I get them out in the mail on Saturday (possibly Monday), they'll reach their destinations before the holiday. Argh, it's almost midnight and I'm still cranking on this stuff. I keep swearing up and down I won't procrastinate the next time and...I always do. FML. Pfft.

Anyway, I'm still working on Demyx so I can't show him yet and at this point, I might have to get that print up on day two of the convention. But I do have this.

I almost hate to admit it, but it's been a lot easier to be active with Lysander and Stash since I dropped Landis. I don't know whether it's just less to keep track of or what, but...eh, anyway. Since I've had the boy out more often and I've been going through my art folders lately in preparation for another convention in November, I've dug up some of my Ironrealm art. If anyone was curious as to what Lysander's friends and foes look like...
