(no subject)

guys I'm so sorry I keep spamming this comm BUT I KEEP HAVING IDEAS.

this time it's my dad's fault.

he showed me the picture.

THE D&D MEME!

Suddenly, your characters are normal, everyday citizens! But they all have one thing in common... they play Dungeons and Dragons. Uhoh.

1.) Decide what role your character fills- are they the god-moding sorcerer who brings really good snacks? The Dungeon Master who won't let anyone use 'Summon Bigger Fish'? The dude who plays a barbarian, whose weapon is clearly compensating for something? Then post it!
2.) Reply to other people- feel free to play out interactions in D&D world~!
3.) I would link to the Player Handbook, but a.) it's hella long and b.) the school internet wouldn't let me. So here's some info:
-The main class for characters are wizards, sorcerers, rogues, barbarians, fighters, clerics, bards, druids, monks, paladins, rangers... I think that's it.
-The alignments are divided into Law and Chaos, and Good and Evil. Lawful Good, Neutral Good, Chaotic Good, Lawful Neutral, True Neutral, Chaotic Neutral, Lawful Evil, Neutral Evil, and Chaotic Evil.
-The races are Human, Half-Elf, Elf, Dwarf, Halfing, Half-Orc, and Gnome.
4.) P.S.- I'm working with 3.5 edition. Use whatever you want, and hey, if you want your characters to talk about how much 4.0 sucks FEEL FREE.
5.) Your characters are the one playing- but they could be projecting. Hell, for all we know, Tony Stark could be some really awkward teenage boy and his character Iron Man is... like Iron Man. Idk.
6.) ...I think that's everything OK GO.

*SPLAT!!*

WON'T let you cast Summon Bigger Fish!?!?

WHAT LUNACY IS THIS

OOC and this is still bookie yes.

[identity profile] seethedead.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
My DM won't. >: Even though I'm a wizard.

[identity profile] ten000miles.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
The neighborhood hobo shows up to play!

He is clearly a human cleric aligned at neutral good.

Also, he's mostly just here for the free snacks. Hobos got to eat too!

[identity profile] crooked-timbers.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
The popular kid is here. He's perfect in every way. He gets straight A's in school, but is also liked for his good looks. He's only here to play with you nerds to help boost your self esteems.

He's a right bastard in the game, though.

He's a Human Sorcerer and Lawful Evil.

[identity profile] storybookmother.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Screw you, sir.

Also, I wanted to talk to you about those hair products...

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is your DM.

Campaign is Neverland. If you don't know Neverland gtfo. :)

No seriously if you don't know Neverland message Cheryle and she will explain your ears off.

[identity profile] like-a-bossbot.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Optimus is totally a human Paladin. :| Who is lawful good.

... Stop being such an uncreative hero, Optimus.

Encouraging everyone to play by the rules isn't all that fun, especially when you regularly break them to help out poor NPCs. Don't worry, they won't really die.

[identity profile] moralperil.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, what is that kid from choir everyone knows is gay doing at a D&D game? Doesn't he normally spend his time hugging boys and telling people he's not gay?

...Mahdi's here because his best friend is like, hardcore into it. He could barely sit still long enough to roll a character, but he's chosen a lawful good human paladin.

Though it takes him awhile to really get into the game (and the DM is so frustrated with how much he spaces out that he threatens to kill off his character), eventually Mahdi's paladin ends up leading the party into all kinds of crazy danger to go above and beyond 'the right thing to do!'

The ADHD girl playing the chaotic neutral elven bard/ dread witch who always manages to lure the monsters back to base camp instead of standing watch.

She comes dressed up to games.

[identity profile] apreacherboy.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Cleric. Neutral Good, human cleric, exalted with a vow of non-violence.

He's so good he makes the paladin look evil.

[identity profile] queenofcharn.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 04:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Neutral evil female elf Wizard, focus is evocation.

She talked the DM into letting her have a modified magic missile spell that only works on males and targets a specific part of the male anatomy. She believes mages are superior to all other classes and that elves are better than all other races.

This one time, she stabbed this guy with her wand. It was epic. He died. No one argues with her over loot any more.

[identity profile] loyal-boswell.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 04:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Watson plays a Human Fighter with a Lawful Good alignment. He loves playing the 'knight in shining armor' and wants to be the hero. Annoyingly, he always wants to ship his Fighter with one of the female characters to have that happy fairytale ending.

Strange that Dr. Watson doesn't play a healer of any sort, but he does enough of that crap during the day. Now he just wants to kill some monsters.

It may be significant that his character also has a mustache.

She gets way too into the games. Hazel owns all the expansion books for 3.5, hates 4th, and thinks we should all rebel against Wizards of the Coast by switching to World of Darkness.

Her character is a chaotic good male human wizard who asks every mage he meets if they want to trade spells and keeps spending XP to make magical items instead of focusing on leveling. He has a lucrative job casting light spells on items and selling them to other adventurers.

[identity profile] voiceofserenity.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Hello, DnD group, have a cute nerdy girl. She plays a female Human Cleric, Neutral Good, but tends to stick more toward the healing and less toward the fighting. Kaylee's pretty big on the pre-game set-up, making sure everything's smooth and easy for everyone, but tends to back off once things get moving.

She spends a lot of time tinkering with computer parts during Game Nights.

[identity profile] honored-knight.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Michael beats you D&D fags up every day and takes all your cards to sell off to other fags so he can buy Halo 3.

[identity profile] defiant-trinity.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
It's the same old shit where jealous fatties and loser twigs waste their time in mom's basement that smells like farts. Of course he doesn't know what D&D's about. He's too busy with T&A or so he claims. He's not giving them back. Ever.

[identity profile] lazy-mondays.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
Team dad does not approve of this and can be strangely intimidating when he wants to. B|

Also he has this really creepy habit of talking LIKE THIS and make you feel like he's going to shank you at any moment.

[identity profile] cybertronismine.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Older veteran type, been playing DnD since 1st Ed, you goddamn whippersnappers. Plays an uber-powered lawful evil wizard.

[identity profile] aerialthunder.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Riyaz is a True Neutral cleric with very high charisma. He's mediocre at healing and positively useless in a fight, but whenever there's a mission that even remotely relates to diplomacy, he's your man. This is about the only reason for everyone else to keep him alive and it rather annoys some people. He doesn't care and is probably way more into the politics of the campaign than anyone else other than the DM.

Jun's a Neutral Good fighter who loves two things: being heroic, and winning. He's ridiculously competitive and sometimes forgets to be in-character because he's so into the fighting. But when he remembers, he is very enthusiastic about being a Good Guy and Smiting Evil. He's one of the youngest and most inexperienced players, so the intricacies of strategy and plot alike often go right over his head.

Noon plays a Lawful Neutral elvish sorcerer, and will go on at length about how superior his character is to anyone who will let him. He considers himself one of the best players, and is really a total snob. He's known to get a little obsessive about strategy. He is also really, really picky about alignment and berates other players when they do something OOC for their character's alignment - especially if it's a Lawful character.

Thundercracker is a Lawful Evil fighter who is incredibly serious about the game. He's quiet, but acts as a voice of reason when the other players start fighting with each other. This has prevented several disasters. Privately he isn't too sure about their GM and once in a while wonders if he should just quit or find a new game, but all his friends are in this one, so he puts up with it anyway.

[identity profile] lazy-mondays.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
/'sup Noon this is your incredibly derpy dad who actually kind of acts more like a pretty cool older brother than anything else.

You know, you could tone the whole 'superiority' spiel down a little, Noon. I know you think your character is the best one, but you don't have to tell everyone what you think about it.

/also he's mapping out a strategy plan feel free to comment/edit with extreme prejudice.

[identity profile] fallenzenith.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
He simply has the best skillset. I don't see why others fail to acknowledge this. After all, as an elf he's certainly superior to their human characters.

...Hm, are you sure that spell would be the best choice? With your stats, something else might be preferable... [ you get the non-pissy version because he likes you 8D ]

[identity profile] lazy-mondays.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 08:32 am (UTC)(link)
Just because he's an elf doesn't mean he's better than a human character. Besides, isn't that discrimination?

Oh, I know what I'm doing. But what would you suggest? [ besides my character has bailed your character's ass out of trouble more than once, mang. ]

/TAGGING YOU WITH TWO CHARACTERS IDEFK

[identity profile] keysinthedark.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
/BRB TROLLING YOUR CHARACTER WITH HIS CHAOTIC GOOD HALF-ELVEN ROGUE NOON

/HAVE FUN WITH THAT

Incidentally, Dusk is just here to have fun and doesn't care about the strategy or mechanics; he focuses more on character interaction.

Dawn tags along sometimes. She plays an elven bard who likes to sing a lot she's such a derp. Also she asks Noon about how his bro is going.

Re: /TAGGING YOU WITH TWO CHARACTERS IDEFK

[identity profile] fallenzenith.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
Have a lot of really pissy rants about how you're Doing It Wrong. In character and out. Somehow both sorts are remarkably similar.

...but okay fine he'll tolerate you because he thinks your sister is kind of adorable. Platonically, because his brother will give him The Look if he tries anything. :|

[identity profile] keysinthedark.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 08:40 am (UTC)(link)
MY, MY. SOMEONE'S ANGRY TODAY.

[ Dusk just enjoys winding you up. Dawn tries to stop this, but her efforts are in vain.

Also sometimes she draws pictures and brings things for you because she thinks you're nice despite all evidence to the contrary. ]

[identity profile] brothersnark.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
A consummate munchkin and rules lawyer who is constantly grumbling about how they have to play fleshy characters instead of something cooler, like Golems or Warforged. Plays a Neutral Evil human sorceror with a proclivity towards deception and solving problems with fire.

WHY DO I MISS ALL THE GOOD MEMES

[identity profile] book-of-mirage.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
Ienzo plays a True Neutral human wizard. He's kind of a rules lawyer who min-maxes liek woah.

DEVA UP IN HERE

[identity profile] viridian-rogue.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
TRUE NEUTRAL ELF ROGUE/DRUID MULTICLASS GUY. Is the one who brings the beer and steals other people's dice.

Cyrus is a Chaotic Good human cleric! She's the peacemaker.

Isis was a Lawful Evil Elf Wizard, until everyone kicked her out of the game.

Solaris is a Lawful... neutral Dwarf paladin, because 4.0's rules concerning paladins > 3.5's, shut up B| Also, 3.5 fighters suck.

Nautilus is the DM. Obviously.

BONUS ROUND

[identity profile] readfahwyrm.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Is the dragon.

[identity profile] lazy-mondays.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
Lawful Neutral with a definite 'Good' slant. Monday is the nice guy who breaks up fights with extreme prejudice and makes really good tea. He plays an elven cleric and really nobody would know, but he's actually Noon's dad. He doesn't act like it, though.
INCREDIBLY ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT THE GAME WHAT.

Teatime is that crazy kid who everybody is too scared to get rid of. He's scarily enthusiastic about the game and plays a Chaotic Evil human rogue who likes to kill things bloodily.

Skywarp is dragged to these things by Jun. Kind of terrified by everybody. He plays a Neutral Good fighter like Jun, when he's not freaking out over something or another.

[identity profile] cheerfulcrazy.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
AND since I forgot Klonoa: one of the younger members in the group. Like Jun, he's more interested in being HEROIC AND SMITING EVIL than anything else, and is really enthusiastic about the game.

[identity profile] in-a-hurry.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
C'MON WARP. KILLING EVIL MONSTERS IS FUN! 8D

[identity profile] teleprot-away.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 08:20 am (UTC)(link)
B-but it's s-so confusing!

[ added hilarity: he rolls natural 20s and is incredibly lucky in saving throws. TOO BAD HE GETS CONFUSED EASILY ]

Re: BONUS ROUND

[identity profile] teal-deer.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
I haven't gotten to pay in a while, but my last character was a 4e guy (shut up, 4e is fun to play damn it) named Tarin Varkyne, an Elf (yes, Elf, none of this pussy Eladrin bullshit) wizard. He focused on using an Orb to do Sleep cheese, by which I mean "Puts boss monsters to sleep and then steps back to let the Warlock and Fighter have their way with it".

He was also a compulsive liar. Upon asking him about his past, he told some story about his parents being a king and queen of a forgotten elven empire and that they totally went off and died fighting a horrible menace from the north, and that they also owned their own airship and fought dragons. The truth is, his mother is alive and well, his father died in a horrible banking accident (don't ask), and his family have been city elves for a very long time - three generations (that is a long fucking time for elves). Also, he's never been adventuring in his life, and was up until he met the other party members a university student.

[identity profile] loltraitorlol.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
HE WAS COUNTING

A PILE OF GOLD COINS

AND HE WAS STUPID AND STARTED FROM THE BOTTOM

SO IT FELL ON HIM

AND HE SUFFOCATED

luckily Tarin was a very young elf at the time so he doesn't even remember

[identity profile] loltraitorlol.livejournal.com 2010-04-27 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
his mother is also the kind of mother who somehow has a Sending in the middle of combat.

"Tarin! Tarin, where are you. Answer your mother!"

"Mother, I'm somewhat occupied at the -"

"Tarin, isn't your mother dead?"

"Er, rather, she - you know what, can we have this conversation some other time?"

"Tarin, is that one of your low-life adventurer friends? I told you, come back and get a respectable job! Like an accountant!"

"MOTHER I AM TRYING TO FEND OFF AN ARMY OF UNDEAD HERE CAN WE TALK LATER >8| "

Also, he's VERY androgynous, but not in a pretty-boy way. More in a "... what the hell gender are you" way. In a "... stop flirting with me, I'm not into girls" way. He mostly makes people uncomfortable with the "what gender is it??"

... yes, I wrote him as a kick to the pants of most fantasy elves why do you ask >>;

Scrying cakes. That is fantastic.
