[Axel stands up as well, fixing Sideswipe with a calculating look. Then he squares his shoulders, reaches up to grab the back of Sideswipe's head (possibly pulling out a few strands of hair in the process), and proceeds to try and yank him down into a kiss.]

[He wasn't exactly expecting the kiss to be returned. But he doesn't pull away, either; he wants this mistletoe-spell or whatever it is to break on the first try. So he remains still, continuing to grasp the back of Sideswipe's head while they kiss.

[... if there was an ulterior purpose to this, he's sort of forgotten what that was. He's just sort of enjoying the foreign experience.

[It's not until the thought that 'this isn't all that bad' crosses Axel's mind that he realizes he needs to break contact. He releases the back of Sideswipe's head and draws away, attempting to step back as he does so.]
