A kiss to the lips is so NOT the same as a pat on the back. Not where I'm from, anyway. Sometimes people will peck each other on the cheek as friends, like if they haven't seen each other in a long time. Girls do that too with best friends. It's a...girl...thing.

You kiss someone on the lips when you're in love with them. Or when uh...you know...when you want them. Or at least find them super attractive and hope you don't get slapped for being that bold. 'Cause seriously? If I ever kissed Noah and told him, "Hey man, it's like a pat on the back"? I'd get a weird look at best and a punch in the face at worst.
