Spawned out of late-night chat fun, here's a meme for all the Wake people!




You're in a brightly-lit playroom. Chalkboards, blocks, small bookshelves, coloring stations, a small corner for reading and another for snacks and juiceboxes. There's an open door, leading outside into a playground area with sandboxes, a swingset, and a see-saw. The whole day is spanned out for you to do whatever you want!

Babysitters Squall and Sari are here to take care of your every need. So find a friend, take a nap, cause chaos! You're children: the world is your oyster.

[Eyes go wide and he jumps, jerking his hand back to himself and running away from the scary pyramid child thing. Eyes fill with tears as he runs away and finds the nearest cabinent and gets inside. Where he sniffles and puts his finger back in his mouth... and wishes his mom hadn't taken his Retsu (read security blanket) from him. This was scary!]

[Grabs one part of the broken safety scissors and staggers after, slamming his fist against the door.]

[Walking back with a hefty bottle of M&Ms, but stops, staring, at little PH versus the cabinet]

Oh, slag.

[thinking fast, grabs a handful of M&Ms and tosses them at PH's feet, scattering them around the ground nearby]

Hey! Snacktime! [digs out another handful, offering it to the little boy thing one, looking at PH pleadingly]

[Stops as one of the M&Ms impacts on his helmet, turning toward Sari.]

....

[Well, he does like these candies....]

[He grunts and leans down, picking one up. His hand disappears under the helmet, followed by an echoing sort of "mmm" sound.]

[Greeeat, gotta get him away from the cabinet now. She edges closer, and begins to place down M&Ms, one at a time, in a line leading away from the cabinet]

That's it...good boy...What a good boy you are...

[The noise has stopped, he opens the door just a crack, peering though it, sees the Pyramid thing is still there and ducks back inside. Nuh huh! He's not coming out for nobody!]

[Irritating. Why doesn't she just give him all of them at once? He remains stooped over, edging away from the cabinet as he picks up each of the candies with strangely webbed fingers.]

[relieved that he seems to be led away from the cabinet, Sari continues laying down M&Ms in front of PH until she's got him in a safe corner by himself, and sets the barrel down in front of him. Sugar rush is better than murder rush, right?]

Just, uh...try not to get sick, okay?

[edges away to let the little guy eat in peace]

[Grunts, then digs in.]

Zanki? It's okay, you can come out now.

C'mon, he's left now, he's not coming back...I promise he won't hurt you. Just open the door, you can't stay in there forever..

[Well, the lady was nice and she was nice to him. He peered out, making sure that the other scary kid was gone and finally opened the door. He looked at her, finger in his mouth.]

[Sari bites down, before managing a comforting smile]

[holds out a fistful of M&Ms invitingly, taken from just before she gave PH the rest of the stash]

[Zanki comes out of the cabinet and nods. He'll trust the nice lady, she did after all, get the scary thing away from him. He takes his finger out of his mouth and wipes his hand on his shirt and then accepts the M&Ms.]



[Despite the tears he's smiling and finally relaxed.]

No problem. Now, uh...we'll just leave that guy alone from now on, and you can...go listen to storytime, okay?

[He nods in agreement, yes he definitely wants to leave the pyramid kid alone. Oooh! Story time. That sounds good. Zanki nods and smiles with his handful of M&Ms and goes to join the others at story time.]
