THE PARTY ANIMAL MEME

How it works:
Attendees of parties:
1. Post with your character with name and canon in the comment title. Wait for people to reply back to you with a party type.

Hosts:
1. Get a number from the RNG. 1-6. Or dude, whatever. Just pick a party if you want.
2. Check the list and see what kind of party your character is hosting.
3. Respond to a character with the number in the comment title and an intro then start partying.
4. Shenanigans. BS stuff. Get creative. You all know what happens at parties.
5. GO AHEAD AND THREADJACK. Parties with only two people are lame and we all know it.

Party Types:

1. Pool Party - Somehow you managed to get the public pool reserved all to yourself, or you own your own pool! Either way, music is playing outside on this bright sunny day and you're pretty certain it'll be a hit. Remember to wait 30 minutes after you eat before going in the water!

2. Slumber Party - One of those girls only parties where you paint your nails and watch chick flicks-- wait-- is that a guy over there? How did he get invited!? Or perhaps it's purposely mixed for all that wonderful and delicious awkwardness.

3. Tea Party - It's pretty self explanatory. How boring and dull-- it's just waiting for somebody to spike the tea to get things really kickin'.

4. Beach Party - The best kind of parties, right? Barbeque smell is in the air, the sand is warm, people are playing volleyball. Beach parties are simple, but have so much shenanigan potential.

5. Wild Party - Break out the booze and whatever else naughty. This party is happenin' all night at your place because sleep is for weenies. Just don't let the cops know what you're doing.

6. Rave/Dance Party - Yeahhh! You're rocking this party with a DJ. The lights are off and people are going nuts! Is the music too loud? I don't think so. Go ask that little lady over there for a dance!

[He's leaving his clothes on, though. You're not talking him out of that. Not here, anyway.]

[She absolutely was not planning on that! :|]

[He says, lying down first.]

[She nods, not arguing. If she falls off the edge it's unlikely it'd wake her up anyway.]

Okay.

[Waiting until he's comfortable, Orihime then follows suit, slipping her feet under the covers and laying her head down on the pillow. She tries to give him as much room as possible, but the futon isn't exactly king-sized.]

[No, it isn't, and they're going to end up pressed together regardless of any contortions they try. Even trying to get back to back leaves him faceplanting into the wall, so he gives up and turns over.]

Sorry, this is...new to me.

No no, it's okay! It's nice of you to share.

[And honestly, she doesn't mind too much. She's a little red-faced from being so close to him, but being flustered remains at a minimum. Hadn't he held her all the way through that film? This isn't TOO much different. --Ah, the film! Tentatively, she curls her arms up and cuddles up to him. This should make it easier.]

[Surprised, but not disturbed, he lightly puts his arm around Orihime in return. Not like it's got anywhere else to go.]

Yeah, actually.

[She smiles, and nestles more fully against him now that she knows he's okay with it. And truth be told, it IS nice! He's very warm, and his bed is far more comfortable than her bedroll would have been.]

[Souji nods into her hair again, very much enjoying the warm girl next to him. Even though he's very dedicatedly keeping his mind from wandering too far into possibility, this is incredibly comfortable.]

[For the sake of not doing anything weird with it in his sleep, he puts his free hand on hers.]

[Oh...? That surprises her a little. But after the moment of being mildly stunned passes, she smiles, closing her eyes. Her fingers stretch out to weave through his, locking, before curling back toward her palm.]

[Souji smiles, and closes his eyes. Nothing tonight had made much sense, but...he could go with this.]

[It might seem like she's asleep. Her eyes are closed, and the breathing that makes her chest swell and fall against his is deep and even. But she's still wide awake. This is further evidenced when she whispers.]

Souji-kun.

[A pause.]

This is the best slumber party ever.

Yeah.

[He holds her a little closer, choosing to ignore the fact this is apparently the only one she's ever been to.]

Heeeeee...!

[She doesn't mind being held tighter. Her heart beats a little faster, but she doesn't think too much of it. This is what it must be like, she thinks, when people get married and fall asleep in each other's arms. If that's true, then she's looking forward to that day even more! But for now, this is super nice, being with a friend who cares about her. She tucks her head under his chin, heaving a sigh of contentment.]

[Souji wonders the same thing, even though he's aware there's usually another step before sleep for married couples. At least for 3 or 4 nights a week if his parents' door-locking habits and rumor were good evidence. He empties his mind rather than go down that path right now, though. It would be taking advantage. Breathing deep of Orihime's hair, he just enjoys her presence. He hasn't been physically close to someone for this long since...ever.]

[Her smile widens faintly at the feel of his breath stirring her hair. She can feel his heart beating beneath their joined hands, and it strikes her just how nice it is to be reminded of someone's life lying next to yours. As such, she feels no shyness in putting her arm around him as well, and tangling her legs comfortably with his.]
