[The lurking figure on the rooftop doesn't respond immediately. He just steps closer to the edge, peering down.]

[The scanner over one eye flashes red, in the mist.]

Who are you?

[The boy winces, lifting a hand to shield his eyes from the light for a second.]

....Hogarth. ....Who are you?

... Kagerou.

[He still doesn't move from the roof yet, but crouches down for a better look.]

You aren't familiar.

[dontwigout]

[He rests his chin in his palm with a small smile.]

Neither are you.

[Then he leans back a little, pulling his knees closer to his chest.]

So I guess you're gonna ask me how I got here, huh? ...Or how long I've been here maybe?

[It almost seems like he's just going to leave it at that. And leave. Because he's socially inept like that.]

... Is there a reason I should?

[Hogarth expected him to, but he's almost glad he doesn't. It's a bit boring, and lonely here.]

Nah, just figured you would. Most people would, I'd think.

[He's not asking to be contrary. It's a genuine, curious question. He's still suspicious, but curiosity is creeping over it.]

Well cause...that's what people do when they meet each other. They ask 'em who they are, and where they're from.

[Yes, that is a serious question. He's so sheltered, so lacking in real-world knowledge, thanks to his history, that he doesn't know of any countries beyond Japan.]
