Well. Good! It's nice to hear that. It'd be nice if I heard it more often. [He shakes his head.] Anyway, a lot has happened here. And believe me, that's no understatement.

[But...he was. It wouldn't have made a difference. And that detail doesn't need to be revealed.]
First of all, we got a living city on our hands. Secondly, we have weather conditions that happen in the blink of an eye. The snow you see covering everything? That just dropped down all at once! Thirdly, we got a whole bunch of animals and monsters wandering around the districts. Why nobody set up traps or cages for them is beyond me. And sometimes the trees move on their own down here in the South. I've seen it! If that's not weird enough for you, you can always just keep an eye on the other Wakened.

[Indoor combat isn't his area of expertise, but he's done it enough to have some confidence he can take animals and 'monsters' (mutants who were animalistic, perhaps?) on. Trees sound like insanity. In the event they aren't, he'll just improvise.]

[If Savik's only information source here is insane, then he'll have to figure out whether to leave him or not. On the one hand, he didn't know how to handle insane people and perhaps getting him back into a building and leaving was safer for both of them. On the other, he had no other sources to pull information from and if any of this was true, Savik would be leaving him open to attack.
He'd seen enough death and had enough of it on him to know it being accidentally didn't help.]

Because I've been stuck in two different worlds! All I want to do is go home to planet Earth.
[Eric huffs. He doesn't realize how deep Savik's going with gathering information and how vital it is for him to work with everything that's been said so far.]

That's a long term goal. The best way to approach it is to sit down and examine the facts and try to figure out a plan.
[Not that he usually did the planning on anything. He was never the one giving orders. But he could probably get some hint as to what in the name of Tulok was going on if he just kept going with this.]

[Long-term is not what he wants the goal to be, but there isn't much of a choice. He heaves a sigh, shoulders slouching.]
Okay. Okay, fine. We'll make a plan. Plans are tricky.

[Now that he mentions it, it is a little too quiet...]

Or they could not just populate one little area?
[Plus it's a thoughtful if practical solution; Eric does have his shield, but the chances of it functioning properly are slim.]

[Savik's interrogation skills are best applied when the other person is terrified, tied up, at the end of their rope or in pain. Usually at least two of the four. He's not very good at dealing with people on an equal level.]
Caution is always the best option.

[If Eric would have been clearer, things would have made a lot more sense. How about some frustration? Eric is good at that. He runs a hand over his hair.]
The city is huge! There aren't that many people walking around because it's normal?? Heck, I don't even think we make the rank in population density!
