SECRET SANTA TIME!

 

SO for those of you who joined us this year, Wake has a long standing tradition of Secret Santa gift exchanges! I know we've recently gotten a few newbies just this month, but don't think that makes you excluded from the festivities! Everyone is welcome to join if they want to, but nothing is mandatory!

BASIC INFO:
If you do want to participate, please respond with your name, your plurk if you have one, and a list of 3-5 things you may want- that way your Santa at least has a clue what to get you! Try not to ask for things that cost money, since a lot of us prooobably can't afford lots. Things that you KNOW are cheap, like iconspace or icon add-ons, are A O.K. You may also list things you like for broad wants, like Hello Kitty. That way if your Santa finds a cute Kitty phone charm for a buck on ebay, they can send it to you! Drabbles, doodles, icon art, etc are good ideas to give your Santees too. Physical gifts are not required.

That being said, please do not sign up unless you are fully committed to giving something. I say this every year, and every year there are still those who don't get gifts. Life happens- seriously, we all get it. But if you do sign up and can't give for whatever reason I will hunt you down it's okay! Just PM me or ping me on plurk and we will take care of it. On that subject, if anyone would be willing to be an emergency gift-giving volunteer, please let us know here too!

Now, this year, rather than screen signups for addresses, NO ONE will be posting their address here at all. After Santas are assigned, if you have a burning desire to buy your person a physical gift, PING ME and I will ask your Santee if they are comfortable sharing their address to receive a gift.

Signups will close on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 12th. Straya and I will try to sort out names and reply back to you all on the weekend! Because Squee is a derp and starting this exceptionally late this year, the secret santa exchange will NOT take place on Christmas itself, but rather Friday the 27th- if that's cool with everyone! That gives us time to be with family on the Holiday and also time to do gifts! 8D

Likes/Wants: Giant pandas, Fallout, Team Fortress 2 (Engineer, Medic, and Sniper especially), or anything silly that gives you a good laugh. Also, there can never be enough fan art of Enigma in the world. (No seriously, I think there's like, three, total, that I've ever seen which I didn't do myself.) Or anything with Riddler in general.

edit - Also, fan art of Enigma's daughter Stephie would be absolutely fantastic. I can provide reference pictures for her or Enigma if needed.

Okay, here's some reference images horribly resized in MS Paint. There's a bunch of different examples to keep options open. I'd honestly be delighted with anything. Please don't think I'm being demanding or anything. I just wanted to be thorough. orz (Plus I already made most of these months ago for a friend.)

Enigma
- General Enigma references. Enigma's costume is sort of annoying, because it's never colored consistently. Generally, I'd say his jacket and pants are black or a really dark green, with light blue lining. The inside of his collar is a lightish green. He's wearing a black shirt underneath with a high color that goes halfway up his neck. His shoes are either black or brown. Enigma himself has brown hair and green eyes.
- Mask references. It's supposed to look like a question mark.
- Sometimes he's got like black smoke-ish shadowy stuff flowing off of him.
- This is a second form he has. He can grow in size and doesn't always have a human-shaped silhouette.
- Early concept art. It's slightly different than his final design, but I thought this was pretty useful.


Stephie
A lot of options for Stephie.
- Stephie's in this big metal robot ball throughout most of her main story. It hovers around and does all sorts of neat stuff. Although most of the time Enigma's just using it as something to stand on.
- This is her in her spirit/ghost form. When she was alive she probably had brown hair. I'd say she's around 7 or 8 years old. She only appears this way when forced out of the SPHERE.
- At the end of her canon, Stephie gets a big ol' dog robot body, all smokey and blue and crap. Based off of the design of the robot dog when it looked like this.


So about these two. Enigma and Stephie are incredibly close. They've both had to endure a lot of trauma together, and they're pretty much all the other has since the mom and brother died. Stephie almost died in a fire, but she lives on in robotic constructs (Enigma literally uploaded her soul into a machine). Their interactions aren't given much flavor other than the two being very loving and caring towards one another. Although they're now like this crimefighting duo, and they've fought a lot of battles together, so they're very in sync that way.
