Secret Santa
Gift Exchange!

Alright, guys! Today is the day!

What we need from everyone who signed up on the original Secret Santa post is a comment for one of the following purposes:

1) A logged in comment with your name/handle in the subject line for your assigned Secret Santa to anonymously reply to in order to link your gift (if it's fan art/fan fic/icons/etc), to let you know that your gift is in the mail/is about to be mailed or whatever else needs to be put down so that there's confirmation that gift delivery is happening.

OR

2) Use your comment to let us know that you have already received your Secret Santa's gift. You don't have to say what it is if you don't want to or who it's from (if you happen to know). We really do want to make sure that everyone who signed up gets a gift, so doing that will help Squee and I keep track of things better.

If for any reason you don't receive your Secret Santa gift by January 1st or at least have confirmation that something is on the way, we'll check in with you and see what can be done about providing something.

SECRET SANTA TIME!

SO for those of you who joined us this year, Wake has a long standing tradition of Secret Santa gift exchanges! I know we've recently gotten a few newbies just this month, but don't think that makes you excluded from the festivities! Everyone is welcome to join if they want to, but nothing is mandatory!

BASIC INFO:
If you do want to participate, please respond with your name, your plurk if you have one, and a list of 3-5 things you may want- that way your Santa at least has a clue what to get you! Try not to ask for things that cost money, since a lot of us prooobably can't afford lots. Things that you KNOW are cheap, like iconspace or icon add-ons, are A O.K. You may also list things you like for broad wants, like Hello Kitty. That way if your Santa finds a cute Kitty phone charm for a buck on ebay, they can send it to you! Drabbles, doodles, icon art, etc are good ideas to give your Santees too. Physical gifts are not required.

That being said, please do not sign up unless you are fully committed to giving something. I say this every year, and every year there are still those who don't get gifts. Life happens- seriously, we all get it. But if you do sign up and can't give for whatever reason ~~I will hunt you down~~ it's okay! Just PM me or ping me on plurk and we will take care of it. On that subject, if anyone would be willing to be an emergency gift-giving volunteer, please let us know here too!

Now, this year, rather than screen signups for addresses, NO ONE will be posting their address here at all. After Santas are assigned, if you have a burning desire to buy your person a physical gift, PING ME and I will ask your Santee if they are comfortable sharing their address to receive a gift.

Signups will close on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 12th. Straya and I will try to sort out names and reply back to you all on the weekend! Because Squee is a derp and starting this exceptionally late this year, the secret santa exchange will NOT take place on Christmas itself, but rather Friday the 27th- if that's cool with everyone! That gives us time to be with family on the Holiday and also time to do gifts! 8D

BUT WAIT. THERE'S MORE.

Since some of you just didn't get to sign up, we're going to have a special MAYBE POSSIBLE FREEBEE GIVEAWAY. What that means is that you post under the section for people who didn't get to sign up, and maybe leave a prompt or a doodle idea you'd like to see related to game CR. Then you can anonymously reply to other people with free doodles or drabbles that way you all can get Christmas cheer! 8> Now, since this part didn't have anybody assigned, please don't take it personally if people don't respond to you- after all, everyone's pretty busy this time of year.

Is when you all will get to give your gifts and things. Please wait till then! :) If you've sent a present by mail, just reply as "in mail!" or something. Please stay anon, even if you had to write your name on the package! That way other people can't do process of elimination to try to cheat and figure out who gave them stuff. Although, I know half of you will probably reveal who you were anyway. XD

Just wanted to wish everyone in the game a very Merry Christmas. I hope you all have a great day, and find everything you've hoped for under the tree.

On a personal note, I really want to thank everyone in the game for just being awesome. It's been a really rough year for me personally, and I was a little nervous to come back to the game. However, I'm having such a great time and it's because each and every one of you is completely and totally awesome, as my pup here would say. Thanks for everything, you don't know how much it means to me.

Christmas Gift Meme

It's about that time for characters to exchange gifts. Someone had the wonderful idea last year of listing off who gave who which gifts and allowing threads on the meme for reactions to the gifts, so let's do it again!

1. Post with your character
2. List the gifts they are giving and the recipients
3. React to the gifts your character gets in the appropriate threads (optional)

- If you've got images, I suggest using something like tinypic to help with anonymity. That way. you don't... ~~have a photobucket account that says "SQUEE" fml I made fail anon~~

Yeah that's all I got! Don't be discouraged if your santa doesn't comment right away! People have busy holidays. :D

Alright everyone! The Secret Santa signups are closed, and everyone's been assigned! But! Missed signups? Fear not. You can just send me a pm or an e-mail ASAP. What I'll do is I'll wait a few days and send all you stragglers each other for secret Santas! :3 It won't give you time to ship anything, but you'll still be able to make icons or draw. :D

Anyway, because Squee loves stuff and wanted to play Secret Santa too, she randomly split the list with sibling. So, she'll be messaging some of you guys with whoever your person is and a few ideas of what to get them, and I'll be messaging the rest of you! That way I don't know who got me and she wont know who got her. :D

Sooo, since a few people seemed to like the idea, I'm going to go ahead and open the sign-up for our Wake secret Santa!

So here's the deal: Make your sign-up post if you want to participate- it's totally optional. :D If you do want to participate, when you post, please leave a list of about 3 (you can put in more or less if you want) things you want- that way your Santa has at least a clue what to get you! As mentioned earlier, I discourage asking for things that cost money, since a lot of us will be broke this Christmas.

Santas, this does not mean that you can't buy someone a gift, but don't spend too much, okay? :3

Signups will be screened so you don't know who's participating! :3 They should look something like this
