[Magnus wiggles his side view mirrors like ears.]

[SERIOUSLY SHE'S NOT GETTING IN YOU, MAGNUS.]

[He transforms again.]

Then...I'll escort you on foot.

...At a reasonable distance, of course.

[But she's not going to move, since Magnus is the one who knows where the beach is.]

[He sighs and turns, heading towards the East.]

[Every so often, he turns to make sure she's still following.]

[Just gonna follow him, walking briskly all barefooted and stuff.]

And? Being too trusting can just get you into horrible trouble.

Well...your logic is sound. I can't argue that fact.

I don't trust very easily myself.

Because I've been the caretaker of a human myself. It's far from the easiest thing to adapt to, but doing so shows the capacity for a great deal of love, compassion, and duty.

Lapis pretty much heads right to the shoreline. Stopping as the waves lick at her feet, and she looks like she's just staring at the water as if expecting something to happen.

Something other then water being water that is.]

[She moves an arm, in a gesture that would be very intimidating if the water was moving with it. Instead she just looks kind of silly.]
