Yes. I have no records of Homeworld ever interacting with Cybertron. How did you know?

[wait.]
Others? Who?
[OH GOD PLEASE NOT JASPER]

I prefer to leave it at that for the time being.
If it means anything, I have no intention of harming you.

[she pulls up her datapad again.]
It's against... 3 laws and one treaty to withhold knowledge of Gem presence or technology on any previously touched planet, polity, continent, tectonic plate, constituent, space sector, moon or asteroid belt.
I'm sure this place is at least one of those.
Who is it?

I'm afraid that withholding that information is my right as protected under Section XXIII, Sub-section XIX, Page 56, paragraph 13 of the Autobot Code and I quote:
'If, throughout peaceful negotiations, the opposing party seeks information that could lead to the attack, capture, incapacitation, dismemberment, disarmament, or destruction of a person or persons under the direct jurisdiction of one authorized to police the given sector, it is within the defending party's rights to deem such information 'Code Ten Classified' until the intent of the negotiating party or parties is verified firsthand by one who is authorized to do so. Proper clearance codes will then be delivered and the subsequent information will be presented freely.'
[Magnus nods. Your move, Peridot.]

Your code states one who is authorized to do so, but I've yet to see any official documents. Even if you're in a position from your original point of existence to give yourself such authorization, this city is - and I quote - a time-space stratum between multiple universes where multiple realities presumably intersect. By that simple fact, it's entirely plausible that a being whose existence overrides your "Autobot code" with authority from their own universe could arrive and nullify the entire thing.
I take my commands directly from the authority, Magnus. Not you.

'In the event that negotiations cannot conclude due to lack of an authorizing party, then the information must, for the sake of all parties involved, remain classified. However, if the inquiring party or parties prove their intent to the party or parties withholding the necessary information, the informant can, under protection of the code, divulge pertinent information, so long as anyone that this information pertains to gives proper consent in the form of written and notarized confirmation.'
My hands are tied, Miss Peridot, I'm dreadfully sorry.

Unless you have written authorization and clearance from these others that you're so intent on hiding, then I'm afraid you're not only breaking your own rules, but also the code laid out by my home world. Especially if Gems are involved.
I'm fairly sure Cybertron doesn't exist in my universe. This isn't your jurisdiction. It's a Gem matter. If you interfere any further, you'll only succeed in dragging yourself and any other present Cybertronians into something that could've been resolved so much easier.

So, for all intents and purposes, Nautilus, as it exists in sub-space between many universes, is neutral ground. A literal No Man's Land.
If that is the case, neither of us, nor our races, hold any claim or jurisdiction here.
I propose this, then:
What is this 'Gem business' you speak of. If the answer is suitable, I will reciprocate with my own intel. It is to your benefit, isn't it? You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
no subject
But no, the laws wouldn't matter. Which is what I was trying to point out before you rebutted with another asinine law. You admit everything you just said about protecting them through subsections and clearances is completely void.
[she puts a hand on her hip, huffing.]
I catalogue. If Gem activity is going on, I log it and pass on the progress reports to my superiors. [then order a hostile invasion but magnus doesn't need to know that ssh] That makes Gem business my business. Even if I cannot pass the data on to my superiors while I'm here, I'd rather not fall behind.
They could be doing the most illegal activities imaginable and all I could do is write it down.
no subject
That is acceptable.
I know of two Gems. I have encountered them on my patrols, though I admittedly know little about their culture or their intentions for Nautilus as a whole. They have not stirred up any trouble, and thus, I have not been forced to take action in the interest of the other citizens of Nautilus. It is my understanding that they wish to keep a low profile.
[Well, he isn't lying.]
no subject
[well, that's enough to fuse. already bad news.]
Any chance of names or should I just cut to the chase and start slamming my face into the closest wall until my gem cracks?

I know of Miss Garnet and Miss Pearl.

[she puts it into her pad.]
Did they arrive from Homeworld?

Thank you for you time, Ultra Magnus. You've made my directive here a lot easier.
