[ At this question, a tiny smirk tugs at the corner of Loki's mouth and he tips his head back a little. ]

Nautilus called me that very moment that Thor was bringing me back to Asgard.

Hmm. [light glitters in his eyes, and the next words out of his mouth may have a hint of satisfaction in them.]

I had been preparing myself for the disappointment of hearing you say that you were called here before Thor's birthday. [Heimdall wouldn't smirk, he wouldn't do something that obvious.]

But it seems that we may have unfinished business after all.

[ Pressing his lips together tightly, Loki let out a short,yet sharp snort. ]

You are not challenging me, Heimdall. Not here.

*typist is so embarrassed, and goes to watch the movies AGAIN*

[An eyebrow is raised, a pair of eyelids blink slowly. Otherwise the giant does nothing. No change of stance, no muscles move, he is still as an Asgardian statue]

[ And he still can't stand it. That way Heimdall just calmly observes and points out truths.

At the inquiry about the casket, Loki snarled briefly. ]

The Casket is lost.

[ Does that disappoint you? ]

Though I would not have need of it any longer if I had it.

So does this mean then that your Chitauri companions gifted you some new toy? [Heimdall thought about it, then answered his own question.] No, I think not. They'd likely insist on getting it back after your failure to invade Midgard.

So it must be something else that has you so certain of yourself. Something you found here perhaps?

[ Heimdall's powers don't work here and Loki is well aware of that fact. It's but a small consolation, but better than nothing. ]

[There is a shake of the head and an audible sigh]

Really Loki, if you were not going to attack me, you simply could have come out and said so.

[ The tone he uses makes it clear enough that he doesn't think so. ]

[there is a long, inhumanly long silence as Heimdall thinks. Finally his hands raise up and lift his helm back off his head.]

Now what will the great Heimdall do with this situation, I wonder.

[In contrast to Loki's tone, Heimdall's voice was devoid of emotion, quite matter of fact.]

[There, are you satisfied, Loki? Heimdall never lowered himself to joke at your expense, he never made fun of you like your friends. But he did go for your throat - literally. That probably counts for something.]

[Abruptly the big man moves, a mass of muscle and leather. And if the sudden movement startles the god of mischief, Heimdall will smile - on the inside of course. However, his movements are a twist as he deliberately turns his back and takes those few steps to the water's edge once more. Taking his time, seeing only the barest part of his adversary out the corner of his eye, Heimdall again kneels and removes a glove, then dips his cupped hand back into lake. Funny thing this thirst, he'd never felt it like this before.]

[His movements calm, seemingly relaxed, the big man goes back to drinking the cold, clear water.]

[ The sudden movement does make Loki flinch a little, but not as much as he would have were they still in Asgard. He is well aware of his advantage as long as they were here in Nautilus.

When Heimdall just turns his back on him, Loki snarls in response and turns to leave as well. ]

I will inform my mother of your presence.

[ Though he will not offer any further assistance. ]

Now, to find civilization here do I follow you or would you rather I made my own way? [Mmm, not so fast, prince of Asgard. Someone still may have questions.]

And as it is my duty to make my presence known to Queen Frigga upon arrival - should I not accompany you to do it? [He's really not trying to be difficult. He just is difficult.]

[ Difficult, indeed. But also a tad bit creepy...Congratulations, Heimdall. Loki thinks you're creepy. ]

[He simply turns his head to see the Asgardian prince better, those golden eyes gleaming.] As you wish, Loki. I shall do just that.

[Heimdall gives his attention once more to the water and more importantly to getting it from the lake into his stomach, seeming to forget the presence of the unhappy prince as a few minutes go by. And then, from behind, A voice calls out.]

Oh, and Loki! When you give your mother my regards, tell her I will be along shortly. Since of course, I must find my own way.

[There may be a quick quirk of the lips on the big man, but of course his face is turned away once more, and would not be seen.]
