Snake (Big Boss) || Metal Gear Solid
Only in this case it seemed like he was truly on his own.
Snake tapped the base of his ear and flicked the switch of the radio on his chest. Neither worked. That meant no radio, no outside intel. It was almost like he was 'naked snake' again.

He took aim at the target, a giant spider. Of all things.
Without lowering either, he aimed to where the giant wave of energy had come from. Whatever kind of weapon they had, it would have a distinct advantage over bullets. He just had to figure whose side the kid was on. Snake stayed trained on the kid but listened for the spider. He waited for to move, to explain, introduce, or otherwise declare themselves hostile.

The woman had long, wavy blonde hair, covered in a gray shawl to signify her marital status, a cream blouse with a black vest, knitted with intricate purple and blue designs, a teal, ankle length skirt and with brown flat shoes. She had a woven, empty basket, the handle hooked at her elbow. Her light blue eyes surveyed the location, she found the strange man walking cautiously. "Yes. Here, in the city of Nautilus. You just arrived, am I assuming correctly?"
