He doesn't protest the insult. Adrien rarely does.

"Are you okay?!" Of course, concern is the first solid thought.

"I'm half the age of the universe, I've arrived in this strange place without my TARDIS, and apparently all my abilities that make me... me, have been taken away. Why would I be okay?"

Not even a question. No sound or anything, just straight up hell. He doesn't think he could take anything like that and stay sane at all.

Besides, he never said he was sane. He's just more sane than most because he has an iron-clad willpower and mental acuity. He's just less sane than he'd like to be.

"No, I imagine sensory deprivation wouldn't...are...are you okay? Stable, other than the..." he waves his hand in the air.

"Depends how you define 'stable.'"

It really does. Compared to himself before his experiences in the Dial? Not stable at all. Compared to the likes of Rassilon? Well, he's a bit more stable than that, but not much.

"You're not likely to just step off the roof?" It was a start on stability at least. But he can only imagine how desperate some people can get to escape. "Or push someone off it?" Because he could remember his own darker thoughts when nothing was changing.

He considered it. Oddly around time two-hundred thirty-six. All he had to do, was go to the top of the tower and chuck himself at the ground. He didn't. But he was pretty desperate.

"Others... well... only if they deserve it."

Which also means 'not right now.'

Adrien nods, humming thoughtfully. "What kind of thing deserves it?" Because he can understand 'horrible monster of a person,' but 'just generally annoying' is pretty bad.

The Doctor offers a small smirk.

"Whomever was idiotic enough to trap me here..."

Then his expression grows just a bit dark. They're idiots to bring him, especially after everything he has been through.

"What if they're not malicious?" Adrien asked, looking out at the city again. Well, at least he trusts the Doctor to not push him off the roof. "Marinette doesn't think the city is malicious. But some others do. I'm still trying to get a full story, but considering time isn't moving back home, there might be a problem they're attempting to fix?"

Well, the Doctor won't. Adrien is a kid and has given no indication about anything bad. In a few years, he might be the kind of person the Doctor would take as a companion.

"If they've taken away my abilities, that's malicious enough."

"If they took them away. Could be like...a hardware compatibility error. We get the bending, which in theory should return what's lost, but it might not work with the other stuff," Adrien said. "It's worth looking into. It can be...dangerous to hurt someone without knowing the full situation," he said, hand opening and closing briefly. He may have dodged a situation like that, barely.

"And would you be so... forgiving... if they took away your ability to see or hear or feel?"

Because that is where the Doctor is at.

"If they didn't do it to be malicious? Yes," he said. Without hesitation, but also with a certainty in his voice.

Don't worry, he says that to everyone.

"No, my best friend tried to kill my father. As well as every other adult in Paris and our classmates," Adrien said, a rueful smile on his face. He lifted his hand, ticking off various things. "Then there was another classmate who erased people from time, who turned love to hate, laser blasted at me, used mind control perfume, fed off fear, and so on and so forth."

He looked over and shrugged, still with that smile. "Paris has a supervillain who uses people. They feel a negative emotion, he sends an evil butterfly, supercharges the emotion and grants them superpowers. Suddenly, someone who would normally never hurt a fly is destroying half of Paris. I've been attacked, transformed, had my mind enslaved on multiple occasions. When my friend tried to kill all the adults, it was because he was mad my father wouldn't let me have a birthday party. Sure, sometimes the negative feelings came from something selfish, other times, it was something they saw as an injustice. There was never that much malice, but magic made it more. Do they really not deserve forgiveness?"

"Forgiveness doesn't mean that justice can't be served. I never said I would through them off the roof, you simply asked me what it would take to commit such an action and how stable I am."

He's not stable.

He shrugged. "And you asked if I would be so forgiving if they had taken a vital part of me. When it comes to stuff of this level, it's easy to make mistakes. To not want to harm. I was just suggesting it might be better to learn what their intents were before throwing them off a roof if the opportunity presented itself. Since just taking might have been enough to do it even if they didn't mean to hurt. To help with that stable thing."

The Doctor considers it.

"I'm stable enough to not do anything rash."

Well, unless anyone threatens anyone he cares about. Then, quite frankly, all bets are off.

Adrien could get that. Adrien almost tore apart an Akuma he thought had killed Ladybug and Akuma's are definitely victims.

Adrien nodded. "That's good to hear then."

He smirks. Because 'rash' also has it's definitions. But no, he's calculating at this point.

"I suppose it must be good, then."

He will take not rash. Not rash allows for a lot of wiggle room in terrible decisions not happening.

"Well, good enough for stability."

"Glad I meet with your approval."

He doesn't sound like he actually cares.

"Oh, I know," he said with a small eyeroll. "At least I won't be yelling about how you're a deranged lunatic?"
