Amrael | OC
a. action
[See an angel.
He's nearly eight feet tall, so, he's kinda hard to miss. Adorned in silvery robes cinched in gold pieces, with a large pair of snow-white wings springing from his back, he's... kinda hard to miss.
Arrival found him walking calmly through the forest in the south, but make no mistake, he'll be making rounds on all the districts, eventually! He regards everything with an almost alien sort of calm, a small curious smile. Slate colored eyes seem to be drinking everything in with intrigue.
Come bother him Y/Y??]
b. Network!
[The feed will open on a curious looking newcomer, who... seems to be looking at his new device with a bit of confusion. His hand is wandering near the edge of the screen, trying to figure out how to work this fucking thing.]
Hello?
Can anyone hear me? Perhaps I've still so much to learn yet on these things, goodness...
[MORE TINKERING.]
I'm afraid I have not always been so adept with the creations of man. This technology, it seems as though I have struggled with it further than I have this new place. Perhaps if I were to -
[He tinkers some more and ends up cutting his own feed. Good job, Amrael.]

That last example might be very specific.
Anyway, Trinity happened to come across that once-in-a-lifetime last example as she was trying (and failing) to navigate through the same square block of trees in the South. Instead of walking the last few remaining steps up to the massive winged man, she takes off one of her shoes and throws it in his direction. ]
Hey, you! The guy with wings! Come here! [ She whines. ] I'm too dead tired from walking. If I take another step, I'll die! [ Aaaand she plops on the ground. ] See?! I'm sitting! On dirt! I'm sooo desperate!
no subject
Okay.
He's seen a few spoiled mortals in his time, and he's fairly versed on how to deal with them, as he kneels towards her, still smiling. Having not been here long enough to Bend back his telepathy, he speaks aloud, in a gentle voice.]
You will die, young one? You're quite certain of that?
no subject
Can you use your freakishly large tallness to find me a cab? [ Because cabs come into the woods. Of course. ]
no subject
Nature, a hindrance? It is nature that has ensured your survival thus far, is it not? Do you not drink water, breathe in the air, live beneath the skies? This place is certainly clearer than I can remember seeing Earth, since the time of the Veils.
[He looks off across the boundaries of the southern district.]
As for a... cab...?
I don't think this is the typical venue of these cabs. Do you?
[A knowing smile. He's... kinda being a smartass here. Because lol.]
no subject
[ She points. ] So what looney bin did you crawl out of, again?
no subject
Young one, I hardly think I'm the strangest thing you'll have ever seen before this day is through. I've the feeling that we're both estranged, you and I.
I did not emerge from... a mental health facility. I hail from the Chords, from Bedora, as much of my kind does.
My name is Amrael.
[He regards her politely.]
And you are...?

Re: Amrael | OC
Link was glad he was riding Epona, for the added height, even if it wasn't much
"Hi!"
no subject
"Hello, young one."
no subject
He patted Epona's neck, trying to discourage her from grazing while he spoke.

"I have been recently estranged from my home, yes," he answered calmly. "I'm afraid I've not much in the way of answers as to how I came a stranger to this land. My name is Amrael. Óretak of Earth, from the Chords of Bedóŕa."
no subject
"Nice to meet you! I'm Link...of Hyrule. We're in Nautilus now, though. Everyone comes here from their own worlds, and everyone's a little confused at first."

.....
.........
WHY DOES HE ALSO HAVE PURE WHITE WINGS?!? She doesn't recognize him at all and it worried her.]
Who are you, may lord?
no subject
Ah, I'm no lord, young one. I merely am what I am.
I am Amrael, and I am a stranger upon this land.
no subject
But yet you have pure white wings like me....
[She goes to bow her head in respect before smiling as gently as she could.]
And I am Leanne. It is my pleasure and honor to meet you.
[Though she is so much smaller than him.]
Have you found a place to rest?
no subject
I had noticed those, my dear. Are you an oretak as well? Or perhaps you hail from a different phylum?
The pleasure is all mine, young one. I have not yet found place to rest, no, as I have been looking over this land for any mark of familiarity.
no subject
I am not a oretak, my lord Amrael. I am just a Heron. Nothing more, nothing less.
[A small sigh.]
This place is known as Nautilus. I apologize but unless this city's layout is familiar, you won't find anything similar.
[She reaches up with a hand and a vine grows to carefully wrap itself around her arm.]
I was lucky I was gifted with a few seeds and saplings of my home. If you prefer nature, I can allow you to stay in Serenes. Otherwise, I can help you find the nearest home to stay in.

Adela can't help feeling a little flushed and intimidated as she sees the man walking about the forest, having herself been practicing sword strikes near the welcome house. It only takes her a moment to sheathe her blade, but no matter how she tries she can't keep herself from staring. A winged giant, perhaps...?
Of course this might be a little awkward on Amrael as well, seeing as the red head is just staring without doing much of anything else. Unfortunately she can't snap herself out of it in the right moment, more pre-occupied with just how much shorter he makes her feel than anyone else has made her feel there. ]
no subject
But upon spotting the red headed young girl, Amrael only smiles at her reaction. He's gotten worse reactions than gawking, after all. He approaches slowly, his hands in plain sight, to show her that his intentions are good.]
Hello.
I must apologize if I've startled you, but I mean you no harm. I am only... what one might call a stranger upon this land. I've just arrived, with no recollection as to how I might have come here.
no subject
[ She's trying to regain her composure after having been caught staring, and rather than dwelling on it she's going to try and ignore that embarrassment in order to help him out. ]
I suppose it would be wise to ask what you know of Nautilus -- that is this place, where you have awoken. I will try to explain all I can, at least from what I know of it.
no subject
Yes, it would seem that way.
Though I have not heard of any place called Nautilus, I should like to hear of it, if you should have the words. I would be immensely grateful for the service.
no subject
[ That's not a very helpful explanation, and she seems painfully aware of it as she tries to keep explaining it. ]
There is a magic here we all share, the ability to bend reality to our wills. It is not something we can do without training it, but with enough skill and practice, anything can become a reality should you wish for it to be so.
1. And I am so sorry for her.
So she took in the rest of him, wondering what he was. The wings were Aerian looking, and she wanted to bury her hand into his flight feathers to hear what his voice would sound like swearing. Like he was Clint. But his height was more Norinnar. Did the Norinnar even have winged people like the Aerians?
She hesitated, then rolled up her sleeves. If he was Norinnar, apparently there was some issue with it being a manner of honour if they failed to recognize the Chosen, and while she didn't care for the recognition, being told that in other circumstances they might be moved to suicide for failing to recognize her... well... the lives of others beat out her own comfort, every day.
So she approached, all short foot nothing of her. Scrawny, underfed, brown eyed and mortal. Except that she had a tattoo on her cheek of deadly nightshade that wasn't quite a tattoo. And her arms, exposed now below the elbow, were covered in ancient and untranslatable words, dark and dull on her skin.
Her clothing looked crushed and slept in and dirty, except for the expensive looking jeweled bracer, the expensive looking rings, and the heavy necklace chain that dipped under her shirt, whatever was under it bunching her layers uncomfortably. aggers hung from her slightly too loose belt, and she might be excited at the thought of his wings, but she was also wary.
s'all good man, s'all good!
Seeing as how he hadn't Bended back his telepathy just yet, he opted to speak aloud and in the tongue of mortals.
"Hello. I am a stranger on this land, but I promise you that I mean you no harm."
With that, he held up a pair of large, broad hands to show that he wasn't armed.
Blarg, the eye colour char doesn't have an entry for Aerians. Pretty sure grey is worried/upset >.<
"We all are, as near as I can tell. Sorry, just never saw an Aerian so tall. Are you from the Southern Stretch?"
Tall or not, it was good to have a familiar race from home, at least. Of course, as humans weren't native to her world, neither were Aerians, so he could be one and still be from somewhere else. She really hated magic.
