Somewhere in this new world, there was a wondering blue fairy. She started from the West District and then found herself in the South part where there was some trees. She zipped around, making sure she was far away from the west as possible. This wasn't Hyrule, and sure wasn't the Lost Woods. Navi wasn't quite sure what happened or how she came to this area. Even after all the exploration, this area was very new to her.

After catching her breath, Navi fluttered around the forest. Have one confused fairy.

Clef had been outside, practicing his attack spells on some non-sentient rocks. When he saw the floating ball of light he stopped before his attack could conclude. "Are you alright?"

She saw the mage and was relieved he wasn't a threat. The fairy floated down to eye level with him. Strange, he looked like a young boy but....

"I am fine, thank you. Strange..." The fairy continue to inspect around him. "You don't look like a Kokiri."

"Ko...." wait, he knew that word. "You are from Link, Zelda, and Shadow's world? From Hyrule?"

"That is correct, I'm Navi." Although she wasn't quite sure who Shadow was, but he did hit the mark with Link and Zelda. "So this is a different world. And why are Link and Zelda here? Is it dangerous here?" Concerned fairy was concerned.

"You're Navi?" He got his staff and nodded. "Alright, follow me, if Link isn't home, Epona will know where he is, He'll want to know immediately that you are here, and I am not sure he will check the network sooner than we can find him." Someone has heard a lot of stories and wistfulness, okay?

The small greenskinned preserver sat on a branch covered in webbing, and blinked large eyes when it saw the winged light. OOOOOO! Something new! Petalwing pushed off of the branch and flew after the other. "What is funny smallglow flything?" Petalwing asked. Best way to learn was to ask, after all.

"Hey! I'm not a funny thing! I'm a fairy." Navi protests, bouncing up and down in the air. She also flutters inspecting the green one curiously. After all, all fairies in her world were ball of lights. "And what are you suppose to be? A grasshopper?"

"Petalwing better than green jumpybug. Petalwing is a Preserver!" Fairy. "Funny flylight fairything! Petalwing got it!"

"Nonono! No Funny flylight, fairy! Faaaiiry." So much fluttering frustration. Why her? "Preserver of what?" Asks the curious fairy.

Link loved the South. It was just enough like home that it was familiar, and just different enough to be interesting.

Today, he was gathering some mushrooms, because the autumn varieties were ready to harvest. And while he was able to Bend anything he wanted, frying up mushrooms was something he just couldn't pass.

The boy was putting some in his bag when a familiar sound caught his attention. A fairy was nearby.

Link raised his head, curious as to when a fairy arrived in Nautilus. Since his own arrival a year ago he'd not even seen a single healing fairy.

When he saw who this fairy was his heart stopped for a moment. He had to be mistaken. "...Navi?"

When she heard her name called, Navi paused in mid-air. She looked around and then below. There he was, the Hylian child who was raised under the Great Deku Tree's protection. The young boy she was assigned to.

Navi descended down slowly, lost in words. She had left his side long ago, and here he was. "Link..." She finally said, guilt in her tone. "What are you doing here?!" Like she knew where they were, she couldn't help but be a mother hen to him. "Are you okay? Did you get lost?"

For a moment, Link wasn't sure if he was going to laugh or cry. Navi was literally the only person who knew everything that had happened in their quest. Even Zelda, although she was there in Nautilus, came from a point before their victory over Ganondorf.

Stuck between tears or laughter, he ended up doing both at the same time, making a truly un-heroic noise in the process.

"Ha, you---yeah, I--guess you could say that. Twice, actually. Welcome to N-Nautilus."

Oh no, this was what Navi was afraid of. She drifted closely to him, towards his chest. Feel free to hug the fairy, she wouldn't mind. "I missed you too..." She finally said.

"I'm sorry."

In the midst of the forest there was music playing, distant but sweet, and probably quite familiar to Navi. Sooner or later, Navi would find it's source: a harpist dressed in blue armor, perched up in a tree with her eyes closed.

Sensing someone approaching, the harpist's blood red eyes opened and she nodded a greeting to Navi.

"A fairy without a boy. How very strange."

Oh how could Navi forget the familiar instrument. She followed the strings which echoed in the peaceful forest. She drifted swiftly through the forest until she came to the source, someone familiar indeed. The fairy paused in midair, just above the person.

Even though she knew well who this person was, she still called the person by their alter self. "Sheik!" She drifted towards Sheik glowing happily. "What are you doing here?" She didn't know how to respond about Link, she left him sometime ago.

"What is this place?" And why was Zelda dressed as a Sheikan again?

Disguises donned for too long have a way of becoming self-portraits; and when you spend your adolescence in one, it may be as much your true face as your undisguised self.

But the peculiarities of Zelda's psyche were perhaps the topic for another time. For now, it was best to get the little fairy situated. "Playing, of course. Even the best of musicians must practice on occasion." Navi might be able to hear a hint of amusement in her voice at that.

Then she sobered. "I'm afraid we are far from Hyrule now, Navi, but I will explain what I can. This is the city of Nautilus, and I have been living here for...near ten months, now."

The fairy continued to fluttered close to Zelda's shoulder level. "Forgive me for assuming but when you are around, something bounds to happen." Don't mind the fairy speculating from experiences with a hint of amusement as well. Even in the quiet and peaceful times it's hard to shake.

"That's a long time." The fairy commented. "I flew from the area where the sky was red and giant monsters. I thought I was lunch." Scary!

She slightly stiffened at that comment, grateful that the mask hid her face. "I assure you, you have the relationship the wrong way around." At least, it was the way Navi probably meant it. She had become used to keeping an eye on trouble spots, or potential ones, in the years Navi and Link had been gone. Used to trying to mitigate damage, until a permanent solution could be found.

(Of course, a voice in the back of her head always reminded her, that wouldn't have been needed if she'd just left well enough alone when she was young.)

"You landed in the Western District- the most dangerous one, I'm afraid. The South is much safer, so you don't need to worry."

Shadow was just having a nice walk, enjoying his time in the forest, until he catches a light from the corner of his eye. He turns to look.

And immediately jerks back several more feet as he sees a FAIRY and instincts kick in to GET DISTANCE from the little ball of pure light.

Navi did the same as well, zipped far away as well from the unusual stranger, around the bushes then went behind a tree. She peeked from behind the tree. Did she felt something a moment ago from the stranger? Or was it her imagination?

When she saw who it was, the ball of light jumped a couple times in the air. "Link!" Except, he looked a little different, and taller. "Is that you?" Questioned the fairy.

He's pretty sure if he had a heart, it'd be pounding. It was a fairy, it was danger, but then it said THAT name and.

Ugh.

Ugh, ugh, ugh, if this was one of HIS friends, then....

"No. Ya Navi, Tatl, or Tael? Because that would make things real simple if ya were, and real complicated if not," he said.

Fairy stayed behind the tree.

"So you're not Link." Thank goodness. "I'm Navi. Who are you?"
