Whoa, whoa, rewind a moment. Who is Googz and why are you sporting the Guardian Symbol? And how do you know me?

Now to hope I can do her voice well enough, having only seen the last epp once.

I'm pretty sure my data isn't corrupt. I would know it. And ten minutes? That's a super long time, I wasn't even in the Guardian Academy at that point, I'd be only... 1.1!

What's Megabyte got to do with this?

I am irritated at all the hate for this show. It has problems, yes, but also potential.

I don't think Megabyte's got anything to do with this. Last I saw him, he and I played a guitar rockoff for Enzo's Compile Day.

"Yeah, I rather doubt that our processors are clocking at differen.... wait. Hold up, roll that back. Megabyte was playing Guitar... for... what? Enzo's...birthday?"

Surprised me. But then again, Megabyte's always been a bit overclocked in that department.

"Yeah, something seriously doesn't make sense here. Where are you? I don't have the Codex but if you're not too far, I should be able to find you."

If you can upload it to Glitch from where you are, it might actually work out in our favor.

"The Codex? Yeah, no. That's what Vera named our ship. Or... Vector's dad. Not sure. Anyway, I can upload my location if you want to find me instead," [she said, then sent that ping along.] "Did that work, at least?"

Wait you have a ship to cross the net? What's the dial up speed on that?

[He checked his device.] Yeah it's reading nice and loudly.

"Dial-up? Man, dial it back, that's seriously low tech. We probably are on an ethernet hook up to some sick DSL, but for all I know it could be wifi... Oh. Oh that's not a fun idea... the thought Megajerk and the sorcerer could hack our wifi. Seriously scary." [Okay, now she was a little freaked...]

Whoa whoa, slow a nano-click, you're losing me. DSL? Wifi? This some kind of User thing?

"Maaaaan, you're from waaay back or something. Ugh. Vera or Googz would probably be better at explaining this than I am, but I guess I'll do my best. Okay, so once upon a time, in like... the stone age or something when our parents were teenagers, they were stuck on dial-up. Outside the computer we communicate with phones. Well, dial-up used those phones to connect them to the 'net. Which meant only one person could access it at a time, and no one could use the phones. That was a problem, so they developed better things. Cable modems, DSL, wifi, stuff like that. Now we can use the net at the same time, or tie up the phones, not that anyone uses those old phones anymore anyway, and our bandwidth is like a gazillion times faster."

[How best to make it clear?]

[Ah.]

"Here, so first day at my new school, I used my phone to upload a video outside the school. Phones these days are powerful, all the data on the mainframe system we found you on? Smaller than my screensaver. So, I took a video and uploaded the file. By the time I got close enough to reach the doors? Someone found me, she'd already watched the video. Five times, apparently. I mean, I knew my vlog had some viewers but... Right, not the point. Anyway, upload and download speeds are just that fast these days."

User technology must have advanced in what seems like hours, [admitted Bob, rubbing his head.]

But then again, we're not privy to the user's domain usually.

"Well it's been more than hours. The Mainframe we found you on was seriously old. Probably 80s or 90s junk tech. Might even be seventies. If they even had computers back then. Who knows. Thing is almost as tall as we are."

Really? As tall as a sprite huh? I guess that makes sense. Our sense of time is shorter than others.

[the_tamra_enigma]

"Yeah... you know I'm not normally like this, right? Not a sprite? You almost here? This will be easier in person."

I hadn't realized to be honest. I though that was normal for Users.

"Yeah, well behind the mask and armor, I'm just a regular person. Just another teenager with a vlog. Honestly? None of our parents know about the whole Guardian thing, and it's best for everyone if it stays that way. But the only person I ever met from your world to visit ours? She had to have a body made or something. Not too sure on the details, Googz probably knows more, given his creepy obsession with her. Either way, paint is, I doubt what's tall as me doesn't really translate to what is as tall as you, considering, you know you live inside it."

So a teenager is about 2-0 then. That should be about normal then. I guess I get it.

"Two Oh?" [she asked, confused.]

When a sprite compiles, they go up versions. Enzo went from 0-1 to 1-0. And so on.

"Yeah... that's not how it works for us users. And even if it was, isn't that binary? Where'd ya get a two?"

Sprites are a little different from binomes to be honest.
