"Sounds about right, while everything here sounds strange."

"Alright. So short version, because I am **** bad at this, and the wrong ***** person for this, but I'm here, so I'm what you've got. This place is some sort of nexus or something, don't ask for a better word." She failed magical theory. "It's the word I've got. Lots of words overlap here, and we all get tossed in the middle. Heart of Chaos or some ***** that basically translates to we're all pretty much *****ed. So until the other **** shoe drops, do your best to not get killed, kill anyone else, or cause any other trouble that would lead to my hauling your sorry *** to jail. Any questions so far?"

"Thank you, Miss." He half-bows again, before finally uncurling himself and standing up somewhat straight. His shoulders hunch forward and that red cane is tapped once on the ground before him to get an idea of the ground under his sandals. His eyes remain closed and face pointed mostly downward.

Still... she had resources here that she didn't have in the fiefs. She pulled her Pokeball and tossed it in the air. Salamence appeared between them. It moved so that its wing brushed his fingers. "You can ride, or just use him for a guide, if you want."

His hand pulls back a moment before it reaches out again and tentatively touches Salamence's wing again. He is clearly going to be using it for a guide.
"Thank you. I prefer to keep my feet on the ground, but the help is appreciated." What creature was guiding him, he could only guess. It was all new and confusing, but he would go with things until he got a better idea of how to operate in this strange place.

"If it matters to you, though, then it's something I might have to consider once I get my feet back under me, properly." He raises his chin finally, offering a smile to the sky above them.

"Miss Kaylin, if I may, I do not have much but the least I could do to thank you is buy you something to eat."

"No money?" If he could look aghast with his eyes closed, he was managing it now.

She shrugged, it was all fief. "Growing up where I did... no one had money, and betting was just about the only thing to enjoy as a child. Especially after sundown. There is alway a way to gamble."

"Sounds like home to me. It's not quite the same, but maybe we can have a game sometime. I'm not certain what we could put on the table, but even pebbles would be something, eh?" He chuckles warmly.
