Not so new anymore, nope.

[Link grinned a little.]

I have some as pets if you wanna meet 'em! You can fly with them a bit if you jump off of something--they don't mind.

[As in, you didn't run the risk of feathery clucking death.]

OH! A lot of people in the city have different types of Pokemon. I have a Sylveon---I think she's napping right now. So, you should be able to see all kinds of different animals.

Oh, well. [Newt smiles, watching Link and genuinely pleased to see such enthusiasm for creatures. And it reminds him of one of his conversations with Leta, short as it had been.]

I'm not sure that I'll try that with them- I am a bit taller and heavier than you, I'd hate to hurt them- but I'd certainly enjoy seeing that.

[And even though he has no idea what Pokemon are:] I'd love to meet Sylveon as well. When she's awake.

I also have a horse--her name's Epona, and a reindeer--his name's Ralph.

But, I think most worlds have those....

Horses and reindeer I'm familiar with, luckily. [Not terribly unique by most standards. Or so he thinks.]

[His beloved Epona was really only unique in that she was extremely finicky about who could handle her. Ralph, the reindeer, was the product of a reality storm that stuck around afterwards, much to Link's delight.]

[Sylveon chose this moment to jump onto Link's shoulders, ribbons wrapping around the boy's eyes in a "guess who" sort of gesture.]

[His eyes widen slightly at Sylveon's appearance, leaning back just a little in surprise. And then smiling.]

Well! Hello there, little one. Who's this then?

Ha--this is Sylveon. She likes to make an entrance.

[The Pokemon made a cheerful noise, uncovering Link's eyes and sniffing at the camera.]
