"Tracker?" the orange cat asked from the tree branch above him.

He nods without looking up.

"That's right. I'm looking for my friend. If he's here, the tracker should find him."

If only he could remember where it was.

"Yeaaaaaah.... this world doesn't work that way, kid."

[dreamtamer]

"But it always worked before," he says hesitantly. "Is there a reason it won't work here?"

"Whatever you're tracking probably isn't here."

[dreamtamer]

"How do you know?"

[death_from_above]

"Because this world is a pain like that," he said, stretching. "The people you don't want from home show up, the people you do wan't don't, and things take their sweet time. Like fish."

[dreamtamer]

"I guess I was kind of hoping that I found my way to the same other world I was in before." Takato sighs, looking more than a little disappointed. "There's someone there I want to meet again."

"Why do fish take time?"

"Why don't we go catch some and see?"

[dreamtamer]

"Right now?" Takato asks. "Is this really the best time to go fishing?"

[death_from_above]

"Of course it is!"

[dreamtamer]

Somehow Takato had the feeling that asking that question was like asking Guilmon if he wanted more bread.

"Okay? But I don't think I'm very good at fishing."

[death_from_above]

"That's okay! I can teach you!"

[dreamtamer]

"I guess I could give it a try?"

Takato had gone fishing before, but most of the time it had been easier to just let Guilmon do the fishing.

"Awesome! Get ready to cat-ch me!"

[dreamtamer]

Takato looked confused.

"Why do I need to catch you?"

[death_from_above]

"DEATH FROM ABOVE!!!!" And the orange cat was launching himself at the kid.

Takato yelps in surprise, but manages to catch Spark out of reflex. (Culumon had been rather fond of a similar game, although he'd preferred landing on Takato's head.) But in the process he gets his feet tangled up and falls over onto his back.
