[Now that is the kind of excitable he can appreciate! Even if a bear seems terribly ordinary.]

It must have been a spectacular bear. [He grins, no harm in following this along. After all, maybe it wasn't an ordinary bear. He can't judge.]

His name is Bosco and he’s the pet of the Earth King, Kuei. He threw a banquet for him, and when read the announcement we thought it might have meant a platypus bear, or a gopher bear, or an armadillo bear, but it turns out he was just a bear bear. Pretty weird, right?

There’s also Appa. He’s pretty unique—he’s a flying bison. You’d like him! He’s really smart and friendly.

[None of those are familiar but they all sound absolutely fascinating. Newt can help but grin as he listens to her.]

I'm not sure I'd say it was weird. Although I'm sure any other might have been a bit more exciting. [He's sure he'd have rather met any of the others.]

A flying bison though? I'm sure I've never heard of those.
