Prompt A: Chinese New Year Storm - It's the Year of the Rat and the city is celebrating the holiday. Many different activities and food for everyone. You can even adopt a pet mouse if you want. Children can get red envelopes filled with a small amount of whatever currency their world uses. Have fun!

Prompt B: Cupid War Storm - A war has broken out between cupids and dark cupids, fighting to either spread love (Cupids) or hatred (Dark Cupids). The cupids are the ones with white wings and love arrows, while the Dark Cupids are the ones with black wings and dark rose-ended arrows. Is your character one of the cupids or is the poor person stuck in the crossfire of the war?

Prompt C: Wildcard - Is your character trying to learn bending? Posting on the network about something on their mind? Or is your character just first Awakening? Either way, have a go at it.

Ax's eyes swiveled rapidly until he found Tobais. He took what felt like the first breath in all the hours he'd been here.

He gave a relieved smile with his eyes and lowered his tail slightly. Then Tobais' words caught up with him. <That was not the mission. Do you know where this place is or how we have come to be here? > He asked. He suspected the Ellimist, of course, but would much prefer proof before he said any such thing...

Tobias stops preening to look down at Ax, carefully considering the question. <Well... there's only a couple beings we know of that can pull this off, but it doesn't seem like their style at all. What is the last mission you remember?> because historically, when they've time traveled they all went together, from the same time and place.

If they were from different times, then this was almost certainly someone new. And new always meant danger. He fluffs his wings out, ready to take flight at a moment's notice.

<We had just attempted to communicate with the homeworld with the device that I built with some help from Marco's father.>

His tail moved back into place, having the same sense of wrongness that Tobais seemed to have. <Where are the others?> That he couldn't contact his prince was disturbing, though having Tobais there he was a little less alone, and felt more confidant. That was the thin hope he clung to.

That was... years ago. Tobias shifts anxiously along the branch, and when Ax suggests the others might be trapped in morph, he flutters down to the ground, landing a few feet away. For a few seconds, nothing happens.

Then, Tobias flutters his wings again. it's a terrifying prospect, but little of his fear makes it into his voice. <And I've got more bad news -- we're from different points in time. I'm from several years in your future.> He wasn't sure how many, exactly, because hawks are notoriously bad time-keepers.

That was something he had not quite wanted to admit. Especially not to Tobais. For many reasons. But Tobais was also the one being he trusted most other than himself and his prince. < What is gained for anyone by taking us from different points in time?> he wondered, and then a though occurred to him. He kept his stalk eyes scanning and focused his main eyes down on Tobais. <If you are from a time ahead of me, you more than anyone else would know one thing. Did I go missing during that period for any span of time. I have been here for approximately six and a half of your hours. The others might not have noticed if I was gone for that long, but you would have.> Because of their bond. And because his scoop was so near to Tobais' meadow as the hawk flies.

Tobias shuffles his wings against his back and considers the question carefully, head tilting a bit as he watches a mouse dart under a bush. <Not that I can recall, but sometimes time travel messes with memories.> And sometimes you come back to the moment when you'd left. <Either way, we'd better figure out why were here, and what brought us.> He was just glad it wasn't another Sario Rip. He could die happy if he never went through another one of those.

Well, okay. He could die less unhappy.

< And how to return. Though if we were brought here for a reason, we can be sure that there are Yeerks or Howlers or worse here, and we cannot morph. >

Tobias would've smiled if he could. <It's a good thing you've got your tail and I've got my talons, then,> he agrees, and flaps his wings to take flight again, heading up into a tree. <I'll be your eye in the sky.>

He doesn't say that he feels... better, to be with Ax again. To have a mission, a purpose beyond sleep-hunt-kill, but as he takes to the sky, working his wings hard to gain altitude, he already starts to feel a little more like his old self.

< And that we have each other, > he agreed. < We must be cautious though, if we are injured we cannot simply morph out to undo the damage. >

That. Was not a comforting thought. Tobias screams from the sky, what would be a perfectly normal bird sound to anyone else, and takes a quick soar around the general area, before swooping back down and landing on a branch overhead.

<Well, there's a city with some kind of festival going on. For some reason they're selling lots of rodents. Nothing too suspicious on first glance, just a bunch of people celebrating.> He doesn't sound bitter at all.

< At least we can both have something to eat then. What do the locals look like? > What planet were they even on?

<It looks like an alien market out of the movies. Mostly humanoid, but some of the animals are clearly more intelligent.> It was weird, and disconcerting. Like they'd been pulled into a sci fi movie. In fact, he isn't sure that isn't what happened.

He wishes he could morph, take on a form that would maybe blend in a little better. He didn't want to be mistaken for a pest. <Surprisingly, I don't think you'll be all that out of place in the crowd.>

< Unless they're controllers. Is this like the Iskoort? > Not an experience he wanted to repeat.

Tobias considers that for a long moment. he replies, turning his gaze towards the city. It was weird. Even by their standards.

< Are they young and restless? > he wondered. < Or are they from these messages? > Still his favorite programing. Of course, if there were movies, there was the chance of chocolate and popcorn. Salt and grease and sweet. Someone might be trying again to morph....

<Neither,> Tobias replies. <Well, maybe these messages, if they were ads for movies or other TV shows. Like Star Trek,> he suggests. Very helpfully.

< Like that first movie Jake and Marco tried to take me to with the very fake ships? > Where he first discovered that humans inexplicably keep food on the floor despite being unable to eat with their feet.

<Yeah, just like that,> Tobias agreed. He watches a rodent, shifting his wings open a little, forgetting for a second that Ax was right there.

< Is there human food? >

<Neither of us can morph,> Tobias reminds. Yes, yes there is human food. Lots of greasy, salty, sugary human food.

Maybe even cinnamon buns.

He shuffles his wings restlessly.

< Perhaps figuring out how to morph should become a priority.... > A thought occurred to him. < The Sario Rip! >

That gets an unhappy groan. <But wouldn't we have both come from the same point in time? And wouldn't we still be on earth?> And didn't it require a massive explosion?

< No, no. that's not what I meant. > It was frustrating. Tobais was his shorm, was actually related to him, and was a friend as well as a brother in combat. But he was still limited by both the human and hawk brains. No fault of his own, but still frustrating. < We said that this wasn't the Ellimist, because we're from different times, and wasn't a Sario Rip for the same reason. But when Prince Jake experienced the rip he remembered everything after. He didn't have access to the DNA, but he had the memories. When we first encountered the Ellimist he claimed not to be influencing us, but he kept showing us things we wouldn't have seen otherwise so we could change the future. Maybe that is why we are from different times. Maybe there is something that I need to tell Prince Jake that you know because you are ahead. >

And that likely meant one thing. < How long after the communication was it when the fleet arrived? >

Tobias considers that in silence, considers everything that happened between the night Ax came from, and the end of the war. Eventually, he turns his gaze to his uncle once more. <Longer than we would've liked, but not too late.> Not too late for all of them, anyway. Just one. the beginning of the end of the war.

< It is possible that is because in the timeline you are from we did not meet like this in this place, off set in time. >
