... Roughly two nights before I came here, I had to excuse myself from the dinner table to see to an emergancy telegram from a patient.

When I came back, you remorsefully told me that we wouldn't be having Mrs. Hudsen's pudding for desert. But I know I smelled Mrs. Hudsen making it earlier that day.
