She just seems like a scared and very angry girl. He does stumble to the side when she pushes him and doesn't resist letting her move passed him.]

After a moment of panic to figure out where he could place his hands to steady her without seeming improper (considering her dress, especially), Caesar's hands rest on the outside of her upper arms.]
