[The response to her question, though not what she had been hoping for, is at least prompt. Before she has much chance to consider the possibilities further with the presence of the rather large robotic being as part of the equation now, she is caught by surprise as that very being expresses curiosity about the plants.]

You mean the trees? They've been studied pretty extensively on Earth. ...well, assuming these are trees originating from Earth. At least that's what they look like.

[Then that curiosity turns to her, and she offers him a reassuring sort of smile. Sometimes dealing with citizens is part of the job, but if this robotic being doesn't recognize trees or what she's about to tell him with her introduction, she might be in unfamiliar waters. She has no real diplomatic experience to draw on!]

Earth? A planet, I take it? Why would you name a planet after soil... It seems incredibly redundant.

[Violet nods her head to confirm that Earth is indeed the name of a planet, one which she has been spending more time on recently. Then as the bot studies her, she watches him in return as best she can from her low vantage point. It's his confusion about the Science Police that gets her talking again with a tinge of humor in her voice.]

We don't actually police the field of science. We uphold interplanetary laws of the United Planets and keep people safe.

[There are occasions where they have had to interfere with scientists but there's no reason to bring up those cases when it might cause confusion.]

And for future reference, it's usually considered impolite to scan another sentient being without their permission.

...so is Cybertron also a planet?
