Yes, I would like to know.

[That draws a slight smirk out of Lelouch.] I understand more about the ways of the world than you might thing. This one in particular.

[He makes a gesture, and the shackles on the other man's wrists come open. The gesture is really just to prove that he is the one doing it, though it is not truly necessary.]

[personal profile] ombreux 2013-11-13 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
[Simon's eyes widen only slightly as the young man makes a gesture and the shackles fall open in response. If this is a hallucination, it was more than explainable. Also, the shackles have proved time and time again to be quite faulty. Still, it is slightly impressive. He rubs his wrists to loosen them.]

Interesting. But is it truly wise to free a murderer of his restraints?
strategizing: (perceptive)

[personal profile] strategizing 2013-11-14 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
I was hoping it would persuade you to give me some answers. You still haven't said that your conviction was justified, so it seems unfair to assume you are actually a murderer.
ombreux: <user name="brokenmeter"> ([veiled])

[personal profile] ombreux 2013-11-14 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
Clever. Perhaps you are my shadow rather than a mere figment of my imagination. But then you should know the answer to the roundabout question you are posing.

Let us come to the conclusion that the assumption is just. That is the way of the law and as a prosecutor in this dark time, I see no reason for it to be otherwise.

I tire of this. I will just ignore you and I will come back to reality.
strategizing: (sigh)

[personal profile] strategizing 2013-11-14 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
I am neither shadow nor imagination.

If you are a murderer, I would like to know who you killed and why. Surely a prosecutor would not commit a crime lightly.

[Lelouch shakes his head at that.]

Ignoring me will not change your situation. If you wish to return to your world, I can tell you how to do so, but it will not change any of what exists here.

You are suggesting that I am in a different world completely. Rather than being insane.

[he laughs, the sound bitter from deep within him.]

Oh this is a riot. Look at how much I've fallen. Like a swordsman upon his own blade. Laughable. Whether I stay here in delusion or manage to return to reality, it changes my fate not one bit. So tell me why it matters to you why you know my tale, shadow-dono. I just might have to seal your own fate if I tell you its contents.
strategizing: (royal)

[personal profile] strategizing 2013-11-14 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
That is precisely what I am suggesting.

[Lelouch regards him calmly.]

You are outside of the bounds of your world's justice system here. It matters little if you have been convicted of murder here, but it matters a great deal if you are the sort who would like to kill people here. If I hear your tale, I may know what kind of a man you are.
ombreux: <user name="brokenmeter"> ([caged])

[personal profile] ombreux 2013-11-14 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
Hmph.

If that is all that you are interested in, I will answer you:

I have no reason to spill more blood than I already have.

And what of you? What is your tale? A person as interested as you are must have an interesting background.

[personal profile] strategizing 2013-11-14 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
It is not all that I am interested in, but it is foremost in my mind.

[Lelouch gives a slight smile at the questions that are given back to him.]

I could tell you of my position in this city, but that will keep until you believe that this is truly reality.

In my world, I was the Emperor of the Holy Britannian Empire.
ombreux: <user name="brokenmeter"> ([mock])

[personal profile] ombreux 2013-11-14 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
An Emperor, you say?

[he makes a sound that sounds like a short scoff. The man was far too young to be an emperor unless the last one died off early. He's not terribly impressed with inherited titles. ]

Pardon me, Your Majesty. Perhaps I drew my sword too quickly. I suppose then if you were emperor, you're also one of the head honchos in this....place.

strategizing: (suave)

[personal profile] strategizing 2013-11-14 07:35 am (UTC)(link)
Such titles don't really mean anything here. I seldom mention it, but I thought offering you a truth about myself might inspire you to offer me one about you in return.

You don't need to address me so formally. You may call me Lelouch.

As for Nautilus... it's not any kind of a monarchy. I do have some power here.
ombreux: <user name="brokenmeter"> ([profile])

[personal profile] ombreux 2013-11-14 09:50 am (UTC)(link)
Hm. Well then. Lelouch-dono. You seem to be a very interesting person. Certainly not dim-witted like many I've come across even if the claim of being an emperor seems rather far-fetched.

What sort of power do you have here? One that has much knowledge about this place such as yourself must be one of the higher ups in some form.

[Hallucinations. Anything can make sense. Even a young 20-something being both an emperor and some sort of head honcho. And even if this wasn't something his brain conjured up? Feh. It hardly mattered at this point.]

You insist that this is another world. What becomes of mine and my disappearance?
strategizing: (pleasant)

[personal profile] strategizing 2013-11-14 05:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I have the power to create something out of nothing using my strength of will. If you name something, I will create it here and now to prove it to you. That power is called Bending.

[Lelouch gazes at the man at the question. It is one almost everyone asks eventually, but it is interesting that he is still doing so whilst under the impression that this is only a hallucination.]

Your world continues to exist. You can return there to the moment when you left at any time, though things will feel somewhat different when you do. You will find that your course of action there must proceed unchanged from what it would have been had you never come here, so it can feel as if a person is an observer in one's own body.
ombreux: <user name="brokenmeter"> ([shackled])

[personal profile] ombreux 2013-11-14 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
That is quite an interesting power. At least of persuasion and the utilization of smoke and mirrors. [Perhaps this boy is also a magician. It seems just as likely as being an emperor.

He mulls over the answer and decides right then just how he was to proceed.]

...

Hmph. As I would have suspected. The whole thing is already surreal. Why not add another layer to that.
strategizing: (cool)

[personal profile] strategizing 2013-11-16 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
It's not the illusion of magic that I refer to. Hold out your hand, if you would.

[Lelouch gives a wry smile at that.]

Surreal is a good word for it. It's fine if you don't believe anything I'm telling you right now. This world breaks a lot of the rules that shape most worlds.
ombreux: <user name="brokenmeter"> (Default)

[personal profile] ombreux 2013-11-17 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
[Simon holds out his hand though he seems quite disinterested]

What sort of trick are you planning on now? I plan to slice through your veil soon enough.
strategizing: (the colors)

[personal profile] strategizing 2013-11-17 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
It is no trick. See for yourself. [Lelouch calmly Bends a glove onto his hand. No sleight of hand could manage that, as he is not even close enough to touch the other man, and the glove itself is contoured to be a perfect fit. He is hoping that this will be a more persuasive display than simply Bending up an apple or the like.]
ombreux: <user name="brokenmeter"> ([shock])

[personal profile] ombreux 2013-11-17 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
[Simon flinches and then puts his other hand to his chest to steady himself. He gives Lelouch a glare, not fond of being taken off guard. After he's certain the glove is not of any harm to him, he first tries to flick it off and then peels it off and tosses it back to Lelouch.]

That was quite interesting. It was as if it appeared out of midair.
strategizing: (calm 2)

[personal profile] strategizing 2013-11-17 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[Lelouch catches the glove, looking slightly amused at the reaction. Irritation is an unusual response.]

That is the idea of Bending. Creating something out of nothing with only one's focus and strength of will. I thought an innocuous demonstration might be better persuasion than any words could be.

I see. I will spare your nonsense my blade for now.

If this is what you claim, then why am I here?
strategizing: (aristocrat)

[personal profile] strategizing 2013-11-18 08:49 am (UTC)(link)
You answered a Call to Awaken, though the choice was likely subconscious on your part. It means that you are ready for a higher level of awareness.
ombreux: <user name="brokenmeter"> (Default)

[personal profile] ombreux 2013-11-18 08:54 am (UTC)(link)
....is this a spiritual realm?

[perhaps he really is already dead. Blocking out memories of death seems plausible.]
strategizing: (calm 4)

[personal profile] strategizing 2013-11-18 07:23 pm (UTC)(link)
This is not any kind of an afterlife. You are not dead in your world unless you were dying just before you came here.
ombreux: <user name="brokenmeter"> (Default)

[personal profile] ombreux 2013-11-18 07:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I wonder then.

Memory is absurdly unreliable.

You're not dead, as I've told you.
