[Thanks to his job, Reid has woken up in strange places before. Of course, the last time this had happened, it had been because he had gotten himself kidnapped by an UnSub with multiple personalities who was hell bent on punishing all the sinners.

But this.... this certainly had taken the cake in terms of 'weirdness'. He was a fan of science fiction, of course, and he had certainly dabbled into a fantasy novel or two (or a hundred), but he certainly hadn't been expecting this when he woke up after getting back from one of the most heinous cases he remembered the BAU having (seriously, he was pretty sure he wasn't touching pork for a long while, if ever again). Which was why he was pinching himself, to make sure that he wasn't dreaming.

When that didn't work, his mind settled on the only other possible explanation.]
