Wow had Kaylin ever gotten lost this time. **** it. The woman was not at all dressed for the beach. It was hard to tell what she was dressed for, odd as she was. The boots very much did not fit, being heavy souled combat boots, with some dried blood splattered on them. Her pants were torn at one knee, showing the padding under, and were also stained with dried blood.

She wore a long sleeved white linen shirt with buttons on the sleeve that looked like it could use a washing. And desperately needed ironing. Over that was a leather shirt, then chainmail, both seeming in need of care. And who knew that chain could even bunch like that? Over all of it was a tunic in blue and grey with two flying hawks on it. One was sewn as part of the tabard, in gold thread. the other was a patch of brown and gold beads applied over her heart.

The wrinkled tabard was held in place with a broad belt that held a dagger on either hip, as well as a nightstick, ties, two pokeballs, a small pouch and a waterskin.

Her hair was so ragged cut it made Xion's look neatly trimmed, and was pulled back into a sloppy ponytail held in place by a gnawed on stick. She had a fading bruise over one eye, and on the other side of her face was what looked like a tattoo of a plant, deadly nightshade. A small creature was curled in her head, napping. A tiny flygon.

On one wrist was the only thing she wore besides her daggers that did not look like it was in need of a washing, an antique gold bracer with three gems on it.

Kaylin spotted the coat first and frowned. She rested her hands on the pommels of her daggers and stalked forward. If Vexen thought he was going to start more trouble on her watch she'd teach him better...

And then she took in the height, the body shape, the hair, the profile. So more than one person had that horrible taste, then? "Who are you?" she asked, and then because this was one of the very rare cases where she was having trouble telling, she also asked "How old are you?"

Xion saw the dagger and immediately reached out for her keyblade. But it wasn't there. She didn't know where it was, and she couldn't seem to get to it, not like normal. So she had no way of protecting herself, unless she wanted to use her magic... which she couldn't also access.

She was defenseless, and that was going to be a problem. But she had to stick up for herself, had to protect herself in some way. Until she asked what her name was, and Xion got up from where she was seated, standing ramrod straight and looking at the other woman.

"I'm Number Fourteen. Xion." She said strongly. The next part was tough, though, because... how old was she? She almost gave the exact days she'd been more or less alive, but then thought better of it.

"I'm... I'm fifteen." She thought. "Why? Who are you? Where am I?"

"You are number fourteen, but you're fifteen? What the actual *****s?" Kaylin asked. Not a kid, which meant possibly a danger. **** it.

Kaylin's face was an open book and the language was fairly easy to read.

"I'm Private Kaylin Neya, of the Hawks and the Task Force. And i'm guessing you're new here. **** it. Why the actual ****s do I get stuck with all the gods ******ed new people?" she muttered. "I'm no ***** good at this meet and greet ****."

The small dragon pokemon lifted its head sleepily, looked at Xion, trilled, then went back to sleep.

Kaylin crossed her eyes up to glare at it.

She seemed mad. She was mad, and Xion was never any good with people who were mad. Either she got mad back, because she had to, or she wanted to flee. Right then, she wanted to flee, summon a portal and get out of here. But when she tried to summon a portal, nothing happened.

She was trapped. Looking up at the dragon on the woman's head, her eyes widened.

"What's that?" Xion asked, pointing at the dragon. Might as well ignore all the rest of the stuff and go with something else entirely.

Not that Kaylin was even aware of it herself, but Xion getting mad would have killed her own anger. Kaylin had a hard time staying angry when someone else was mad.

She huffed a bit, but this was a safe topic. Ish.

"He's a pokemon and a pain in the ****. Flygon. Usually they're big enough to carry a person when flying. My ***** luck to get a tiny one."

The creature leaned down to bite her ear. She swore at it. "You're worse than your **** namesake. At least he is useful!" Another bite, and more swearing.

Hard to be scared of Kaylin when she gets lost swearing out her pet.

Xion just watched for a moment, at the biting and the swearing, and then something happened that even she didn't expect to happen. Xion giggled, and it startled even her. Putting her hand up to her mouth, she tried to cover her laughter, but it still popped out.

"I'm sorry!" She said, but it was hard to be scared when this tiny little dragon thing was biting at someone, and the other person was yelling at it. She couldn't stop giggling.

She snorted rudely, which turned out to be a swear word in some language, because the city translated it. "You're hardly the first **** person to find it amusing," she muttered. She tried once more to pull the pokemon from her head then gave up and left him there, muttering under her breath in four languages, all of which amounted to questioning his parentage.
