Death | Sandman
Death was used to being everywhere, and not anywhere, all at once. She was so used to it, in fact, that being pulled to a new place like this? Didn't even faze her a little bit. She was sort of here before, she wasn't here before, and now she was here. Fully and completely. Enough that people sensitive to these kind of things could probably feel it when she woke up.
She'd never really woken up before, and wasn't that fun? This was all like some grand adventure, like the ones she would have once every hundred years. Oh, but she was already having a blast, walking around everywhere, seeing all the cool new things that just happened to be here.
But she was finding that she was hungry. Not really thirsty, but kind of hungry, and all of the humming and sometimes skipping she was doing was making her even more hungry. So, whenever she saw a random person, she grabbed them by the arm with a grin.
"You wouldn't happen to know where to get a hot dog, would you? I'm craving something awful for a hot dog. Ooh, or a bagel! Or maybe a banana, what do you think is better to have when you're hungry?"
Hello, old friend. ;D Have someone who's died ... a lot.
Living in a dystopian city-state constantly at war will really skew a girl's perspectives, after all. She's used to tasteless rations and the occasional pilfered egg or sweet from the Breen military's personal stash, so. Hot dogs, whatever they are, sound delightful.
Helloooooo Aeon :3
So Death tried to give them all a little extra love. "No no no no no. It's definitely not dog meat. It's like, a mix of pork and beef, or there are the all beef hot dogs which I think are the better ones." Death grinned. "More kosher, you know? But any hot dog is delicious, especially with some mustard and some ketchup on it! We have to find them now, oh, you'll just love them!"
Let's make some fat pigeons!
The cloning process always left shadows of memories: by now, she knew that Trevor had been doing it for ages, bringing her back over and over because he couldn't stand to lose the game they'd been playing - or more specifically, to lose her. She just tried not to think about it too much. It distracted from the moment.
"If we've met, I forgot your name. I'm ... really sorry about that, pretty one."
She reaches up to touch Death's cheek as she says so.
Squee! Let's go
"We've met before, but don't worry about it too much, hun. No one ever remembers meeting me. And that's okay!" Says cheerfully. There wasn't much that got her down these days, always trying to cheer people up. She shook her head, black hair flying.
"I'm Death. You can call me Didi if you like that better, though. I've gone by so many different names over the years."
no subject
"It doesn't matter what I like better. If you're Death, that's what I'll call you."
It isn't as though she's afraid of her, after all. She smiles back, and ruffles her hair, just to see if it feels as fluffy as it looks.
"So where do we get a hot dog?"
no subject
So when she fluffed her hair, she let her for the moment before shaking her head to get the black locks back into place.
"Right! A hot dog! Okay, I'm not sure where we can get a hot dog just yet. I only just got here myself, too, so I'm still wandering around a little. I haven't seen any hot dog vendors around, though." Death pouted. "This place is nothing the cities I've seen before. No one is yelling or shouting or doing anything fun!"
Reaching out, she took Aeon by the hand and tugged her along. "We're going to find a restaurant or something. They'll have to have a hot dog there!"
no subject
She wasn't really familiar with restaurants, either - ah, the curses of living in a dystopia. There was a grocery with rows of vegetables in carts at the front, and she paused to look them over.
"What about here?"
Have a small reincarnated hero
Awww bitty!
She got really excited about the idea of toppings. "Maybe we can find them at the restaurant. I've never been to a bakery that serves hot dogs, but we could find a bagel there!"
Re: Death | Sandman
Ten felt something chilling in those bones of his; which is when a certain someone grabs him by the arm.
"Banana. Always a banana." There's something quirky about how Ten states this; "Chips are good too." By which he means fish.
Doctor!
Still, she kept a loose hold on his arm and beamed up at him with a smile. "Chips? Ooh, like fish and chips? How very British!" Death laughed, tempted to do a British accent, but decided not to. "Between fish and chips and a banana, you'd always choose a banana, wouldn't you. I think what food you pick says a lot about a person, actually!"
Re: Doctor!
He doesn't want to go. And yet - sometimes he does. Those times this face is by himself - he stops caring about living.
There's a small smile on his lips, he's met a version of Death before here in his universe and where both were nice; well - who really enjoys dying. Even if he does understand that is the way things. Even him...
"And what does a banana say about me?"
no subject
She puts the finger on her other hand up to her lips, tapping on them gently. "Hm. What does a banana say about you..." She hums softly, thinking about it. There was all kinds of slang about bananas, and even a song that she liked. Actually, that's what she was humming while she was thinking.
"You're a little crazy, but in a good way. Harder on the outside then on the inside, though not too hard. A versatile kind of fruit, able to adapt to plenty of different situations. Oh! And good to have around in case of an emergency. How's that for my pop fruit psychoanalysis?" Death grinned.
no subject
There's a hard swallow because there's something about the banana being soft on the inside that is a bit concerning;
"I'd say it's right on the dot... Does that mean the banana rots from the inside out too?"
no subject
"Why do you go right to the banana rotting from the inside out? Before that happens, it gets turned into banana bread!" Says cheerfully.
no subject
"Greetings," he says. "In the name of the Light and of the old world before the Dark came."
OOC: Canonly unable to die magical being here. Feel free to recognize. Quick character summary here

Another one that she'd never had a chance to take with her, but that was okay. These things happened, especially when magic was involved. She gives him the biggest grin ever.
"Hi, Will!" Beams at him, and then she leans in and gives him a quick, tight hug. Whether he wants a hug or not, he's getting one, because that's how she rolls.
"What are you doing here, huh?"
no subject
He blinks at her a little as the hug ends.
"I'm not quite sure at the moment, really. But I expect I will find out when the time is right. It is often so, with the Light."
Because if he had been sent here, then he had no doubt that the Light had allowed for it to happen. Which meant there was some task for him yet here.
no subject
"So you ended up here just like I did! This is fun, I've never had to deal with something like this before." She clasped both hands in front of her, giving a little jump of excitement. "Who doesn't love a good adventure, right, Will? This is so exciting!"
no subject
no subject
"And lighten up, too! Adventures are supposed to be fun, not so serious. Those are only quests!"
no subject
"Perhaps a few," he says with amusement. "Although I suspect that I am a poor story teller."
