Hello, old friend. ;D Have someone who's died ... a lot.

"I've never had a hot dog," Aeon replies, having been wandering in a very similar state of mind. "Let's say ... that. Is it actually dog meat?"

Living in a dystopian city-state constantly at war will really skew a girl's perspectives, after all. She's used to tasteless rations and the occasional pilfered egg or sweet from the Breen military's personal stash, so. Hot dogs, whatever they are, sound delightful.

Helloooooo Aeon :3

She'd always had a soft spot in her heart (metaphorical, that heart, she didn't actually have any living organs) for people who had died more then once. They never got the rest they so justly deserved, and while she understood that, understood why, it didn't mean it was her favorite thing ever.

So Death tried to give them all a little extra love. "No no no no no. It's definitely not dog meat. It's like, a mix of pork and beef, or there are the all beef hot dogs which I think are the better ones." Death grinned. "More kosher, you know? But any hot dog is delicious, especially with some mustard and some ketchup on it! We have to find them now, oh, you'll just love them!"

Let's make some fat pigeons!

Mustard and ketchup were new words, too, and she was all on board for new things. "Sure. ... You look familiar, but ... I don't know why."

The cloning process always left shadows of memories: by now, she knew that Trevor had been doing it for ages, bringing her back over and over because he couldn't stand to lose the game they'd been playing - or more specifically, to lose her. She just tried not to think about it too much. It distracted from the moment.

"If we've met, I forgot your name. I'm ... really sorry about that, pretty one."

She reaches up to touch Death's cheek as she says so.

Squee! Let's go

Death smiled, and she couldn't resist tilting her head into the fingers on her cheek. She was always a fan of human touch, and felt like her siblings didn't get enough of it sometimes. Except Desire sometimes had too much, but it wasn't always the same.

"We've met before, but don't worry about it too much, hun. No one ever remembers meeting me. And that's okay!" Says cheerfully. There wasn't much that got her down these days, always trying to cheer people up. She shook her head, black hair flying.

"I'm Death. You can call me Didi if you like that better, though. I've gone by so many different names over the years."

Splinters of memories pushed their way up like bone through skin: falling, drowning, being shot, eaten by a creature ... only for brief flashes, like a poorly cut montage made from single frames. She shook them off, reassured by her smile.

"It doesn't matter what I like better. If you're Death, that's what I'll call you."

It isn't as though she's afraid of her, after all. She smiles back, and ruffles her hair, just to see if it feels as fluffy as it looks.

"So where do we get a hot dog?"

Laughing, she shook off her hand in her hair, just because she could. She didn't mind being touched at all. It was something in her younger days that she had a problem with, and a huge attitude problem at that. But now, she'd learned to mellow out. Learned to go with the flow, and it helped out with a lot of things.

So when she fluffed her hair, she let her for the moment before shaking her head to get the black locks back into place.

"Right! A hot dog! Okay, I'm not sure where we can get a hot dog just yet. I only just got here myself, too, so I'm still wandering around a little. I haven't seen any hot dog vendors around, though." Death pouted. "This place is nothing the cities I've seen before. No one is yelling or shouting or doing anything fun!"

Reaching out, she took Aeon by the hand and tugged her along. "We're going to find a restaurant or something. They'll have to have a hot dog there!"
hooliganstatus: (yes good)

"Then we'll have to have fun and make up for it." Aeon smiled, running alongside her. This was good, having someone to do things with. Usually, all her curious explorations were solitary, and the only opinions she discovered were her own.

She wasn't really familiar with restaurants, either - ah, the curses of living in a dystopia. There was a grocery with rows of vegetables in carts at the front, and she paused to look them over.

"What about here?"
