Heimdall/Marvel Movie Universe *spoilers to Thor, The Avengers, and Thor TDW may follow*
[Bringing it up to his face he smelled, then slurped the water from his hand. A branch snapped nearby and the giant's eyes slid around to the side toward the noise. Rising up to his feet, he turned toward the sound. He didn't reach for his weapon, not yet at least.]
[But he was ready to.]
Hello?
[ACTION]
Hello...

[She is so small, he makes the decision to drop back down upon one knee to see and speak to her a bit easier.]
There you are. I thought I'd heard something. [His head tilts as he regards her closely.] Are you out here alone, little one?
no subject
Yes. Did you just get here?
no subject
Indeed I did. Do you know this area well?

Greetings, Heimdall.
[ The words are spoken in a controlled manner and Loki slowly steps further forward, his hands yet by his sides. Though the way he slowly clenches them into fists and opens them again is a telling one: Loki isn't too pleased to see the other here.
When he speaks again, fine traces of venom are laced into his words. Heimdall... Remains one he isn't too eager to forgive. ]
I see you heeded Nautilus' Call.
no subject
Ah, Loki. [The gold eyes glitter, although Heimdall's tone remains casually controlled. Always controlled.]
I see that the reports of your demise are exaggerated yet again.
[And this is a good time to put his glove back on. Prelude to drawing his sword, of course. The last time they spoke it was not amicable, to say the least.]
no subject
Actually-
[ He idly notices that the glove comes back on and understands the meaning of this action. ]
-I have not yet died where I am from. Or when I am from, if that makes any sense to you.
no subject
[And there he goes, bending to lift up his helm and then slide it down over his close-cropped hair]
No it doesn't. Care to explain it to me? I am not quite sure of what you mean.
no subject
Nautilus has called me from a different point in time.
[ He lightly raises a brow as he goes on. ]
Where I come from, I am neither dead, nor have I been locked up in the dungeons yet. Though I have been told of these future events to await me shall I return.

My name is Portgas D. Ace. Or just Ace. How can I help you?
[WEIRDEST RANDOM DRIVE-BY TOUR GUIDE EVER.]
no subject
Greetings, Portgas Ace. I am Heimdall of Asgard and I, [No, no he is not going to say lost.] I find myself in a place I have never been before. Is there perhaps a central location here? Someplace safe, and somewhere I could perhaps find a astronomical map?
[He knew the stars. If he could see a map, he could perhaps correlate where he was in relation to them.]
no subject
[Pulls out the map and guide.]
But if you're like my friend and get lost easily, I can help you find your way anywhere you want to go here.
no subject
There is a 'Little Asgard' here? [His finger points to the place, somewhere north of where they are standing.]
What place is this?

Hei, stranger!
[A single human voice, seemingly coming from the group.]
I did not startle you, did I? I was not trying to sneak up on you.
no subject
[At least until he hears words, not barks or snarls, actual words coming to him from the group of wild wolves.]
[He stands silent for several seconds, thinking. Coming to a decision the warrior's stance changes slightly. Easing his guard.]
In fact, you did. I am used to hearing the approach of others from much further off. And - are you several, with one to speak? Or are you one with several bodies?
no subject
One person with several bodies! All members are part of my voice, or else it would not be as good as it is.
[He cocks his heads.] Do you normally have supernatural hearing levels? That might be why you did not hear me. Nautilus removes your powers when you arrive.
no subject
Hearing and sight. Once I could see...
[he goes silent, his eyes rising up to the sky. There are stars up there. And planets beyond them. And more stars even further on. At one time he could see them as easily as he could see his hand. At one time he could hear the sap move in the trees. Now he can not even hear several beings until they were well within battle range. Heimdall not only feels lost in this place, he feels blind and deaf as well.]
[No time to think of his losses now, he can do that later. Later when he has found someplace safe to think on this, this Nautilus. The big man shakes his head, returning to the conversation.]
Once I could see and hear much more than now. Do you have a name, or something I may call you? I myself am Heimdall, of Asgard.
no subject
Your sight and hearing have not vanished completely, have they? Only the heightened versions? You can get them back with Bending. I have not had to restore any abilities, but I do not believe it is difficult when you want them back.
[Back to grins!]
Yes! I am known as Scrupilo, and my species is called Tines. You are Asgardian? You are not the only Asgardian here! Loki has even made a recreation of Asgardian buildings!

He must have really good eyes and ears, too, because Charlie is only a few centimeters tall. Most of the people around here barely notice him enough not to step on him, so this guy must be really paying attention.]
...Hello.
[God, he hopes this guy doesn't want to fight.]
no subject
Hello. Are you native to this place? Can you help me find my way to shelter?
no subject
No, I can't even breathe the air here. Sorry pal.
[He taps on his
adorablelittle fish-bowl helmet for emphasis. As stylish as it is, he doesn't wear this spacesuit for fun.]So I guess you're not a native either, then? I'm Captain Charlie, of the S.S. Drake.
[Without really thinking, he offers his hand forward for a handshake. Smooth, Charlie.]
no subject
No, I'm newly arrived here, Captain. I am Heimdall of Asgard. [Is he, is he really trying to shake Heimdall's hand? The larger man raises an eyebrow, looking from the little man to his hand and back again. Cautiously, slowly he stretched out his hand, palm out. The Captain can slap it or not as he chooses
Have you been here long?
