Link had been sitting on a stump playing the Ocarina when he noticed a small girl walking past. He lowered the blue instrument and gave her a small wave.

"Oh, hi there."

She blinked, tipped her head at him, curiously. Who was this? Why was he tall? He was almost as tall as Santa. She made her way over to him, with her funny little walk and peered up at him. He was really tall.

She made a small awed noise, her eyes going wide.

[Gosh, she was little! Like Pamela in Termina. She must be young too, then. He crouched to be more at her level. ]

Are you new?

I'm Link. What's your name?

She giggled when he crouched, and reached up to try and grab his hat. If he didn't stop her, she'd hold it up in front of herself and try to stick her whole head into it like it's some sort of portal, giggling.

[Nope, she's totally allowed to do that. She'll get to see that he wears his hair in a short ponytail, tied with a bit of string.

Link grinned at her.]

Don't talk much, huh? That's okay.

She plopped the hat on her own head after investigating the inside and gave him a huge grin.

[younghero]

[Link laughed and ran a hand through his bangs.]

Okay. Well....let's see if we can get you someplace safer. Maybe get some lunch?

[loves_garu]

She considered that, hand to her face as it tipped to the side, then she grinned and nodded, shifting her backpack. Lunch! NOODLES! She'll find her uncles, and then she'll eat noodles, then she'll find Garu! A good day!

[younghero]

[Well, that's pretty cute. Link nodded cheerfully and gestured for her to follow him, offering his hand if she wanted to take it, the golden triangles shining faintly in the quiet of the woods.]

I'll take you to a Welcome House for right now. You can pick where you wanna go from there.

She took the hand offered happily, and walked with him, well, almost had to run to account for his longer legs, but that was fine. This place was fun.

Of course, after a minute or so, she'd get bored of walking, and unless he stopped her, would scale his arm to sit on his shoulder.

[Huh! That was unexpected. But, while Navi had been much smaller, she'd ridden on his shoulder or in his hat many times. As had Tatl.

He didn't mind.]

I used to live in the Southern Welcome House. It's pretty nice. I think it used to be a castle.

Aaaaand,... she wasn't listening. She pulled herself onto his head, lay out on her belly and dangled her face in front of his, giggling.

[At least she wasn't pulling his ears.

Link hummed as he walked, shifting his weight to help his balance.]

A broad grin and she started humming with him, trying to match his tune

[Those ears perk slightly--much more noticeable without the hat--and he grins a little, trying a new tune for her to match. A song that speaks of rolling fields of green, green, grass, and comfort of a ranch.]

She giggled and tried to match that tune too, but started to slip, sliding down his hair. Flailing hands caught his nose, trying to cling to it as she dangled.

[Link's reflexes were darned good, when not hampered by a Storm. He caught her and put her easily on his shoulder again.]

She clapped happily, and bounced around on his shoulder. She didn't seem to learn...

Of course, had she lost her grip and dropped, he would have seen something INTERESTING.

[Heroes don't let little girls fall. He carried a Zora princess (who weighed a lot more than Pucca) all around the insides of a whale.]

Be careful.

She giggled and stood up on his shoulder. Now she felt like showing off a bit!

[younghero]

[Link kept his shoulders set, almost militarily in fashion. A ghost of a memory from another life, for he'd certainly had no such training in his current one.]

And with another giggle as the only warning, she leapt, springing off his shoulder, arms spread like she thought she could fly.

[younghero]

[You are making heroing hard, Pucca. Link dives to his knees and catches her, blue eyes puzzled.]

...would you...rather walk?

She scowled at him when he caught her, twisting to glare at him, the top of her face red with irritation, but she climbed back onto his shoulder, to sulk.

[younghero]

[Well, sulking is safer than jumping and breaking bones. He didn't see wings, so he's guessing she can't actually fly.]
