[Nino was out getting some fresh air for a bit. Between patrols, Chat training and dates with Alya, he hasn't had much time to really relax. He's at least feeling somewhat better about Christmas, even if he still feels horrible for his crush on his Ladybug. As he walks along, he has his headphones on so he doesn't hear Markov, or even notice him just yet. The little guy might need to come to Nino to get his attention.]

This was not San Fransokyo. That much was immediately apparent. Which of course begged the question of where it was. And more importantly, where Hiro was; ten seconds ago they had been on their way to meet Wasabi and the others, and Hiro had been precisely four feet and six point two-five inches ahead of him and at a 35 degree angle from Baymax's center of mass. Logically, Hiro should still be well within range of Baymax's sensors; Hiro simply wasn't capable of moving that fast without mechanical assistance.

But the fact remained that Hiro was nowhere to be found. However, someone else was. Perhaps they knew what had happened to Hiro. Baymax toddled up to them and gave them an odd little wave in greeting. "Hello, I am Baymax, your personal healthcare companion," he said. "Do you know where I can find Hiro Hamada?"

Well, this wasn't Tadashi or Hiro.

Just as big and pudgy looking, though!

The bear cocked his head at the greeting, and smiled. Well, companions were nice!

"Bawr!"

Then came a frown and another cock of the head at the question. That... he wasn't sure how to answer.

[ It would appear that there’s quite the display going on in the central plaza of the Eastern district today. A performance, in fact, from the look of things! A young boy stands near the middle of the plaza, strumming vigorously on some sort of instrument. All around him in a circle is a variety of colorful, origami figures. Most are of small animals, but one of the folded paper creations seems to resemble a miniature human figure in samurai garb. It’s sloppily made, clearly put together by the hand of someone who wasn’t entirely sure how to recreate it perfectly.

If you get closer, you’ll likely hear the boy speaking, though he’s nearly just muttering to himself under the noise of his strumming. ]

Come on. Please. I need your help.

[ Whatever he’s expecting, it doesn’t seem to happen. The paper hardly even twitches in the breeze, and after a moment the boy lowers his instrument, letting his hands drop dejectedly to his sides. He walks over to the paper samurai, crouching down and nudging it over with his hand before sighing. ]

Why won’t it work this time?

Another scenery change - what are you trying to prove Noah? Besides the fact, you're a complete moron and need to have your butt served to you.

No matter, eventually they will meet and they will duel. And Kaiba will win. Because no one takes Mokuba away from him.

[ Well, this was new. Not bad, per se, because Yuugi was pretty sure he was dead or... wherever disembodied souls went when they were taken by the seal, so considering he was, at least, corporeal, gave him some hope that he wasn't actually dead. Or dinner, because that would be horrible and he didn't see any big monsters running around that currently wanted to munch on him.

Well, except maybe the spiders, but he learned quickly to avoid those.

But that still didn't help him with wherever or whatever this was, though. But hey, if this was the sacrifice he had to make so that Mou Hitori no Boku was fine and could fight on, then so be it. Dartz was after the Nameless Pharaoh, after all, not the vessel that held him. He just hoped that his friends would be able to make sure his other didn't do anything too crazy like use the seal again.

He was sure the others were up for it.

With that thought in mind, Yuugi pushed away all the negatives and decided to just wander and see what he could find. At the very least, if he was stuck here, he might as well take advantage of it, right? ]

It doesn't take her long to notice the boy either, with his PROTAGONIST HAIR uncertain demeanour. She will approach, openly curious as she does so. ]

The young woman was pretty enough. Willowy with long ash-blonde hair. Her black uniform seemed to be military, given the weapon holster on her hip, though it was tailored perfectly to her. Perhaps a bit more like an actress playing at being a soldier, amusing as that misconception might be to her, all things considered. Her company patch was a grinning skull wearing a jester's cap at a jaunty angle. On her wrist was some sort of communications device. Lots of buttons, very high tech, and very expensive looking. The headset rig she was wearing also looked to be on the higher end of things.

She had been getting everyone settled and into Beddy-bye in command central when the call had come in to Wake. Whatever that meant. She had been reaching to answer the call, to tell whoever it was that the top brass had all settled in for the night when she found herself here. Alone. Confused.

She frowned slightly, and started looking around. Landmarks, cover, or some sign she was still on Zenoba. It was clear rapidly that the last one was false. So. Not Zenobia. Not Landoor, not Haskin's planet, sure as space not a space station. So... where was she?


2. Network, voice.

"Alright, kiddies. Mother here, and last I looked this wasn't any Legion base I've ever seen. So, got a few questions for you all, if you've an ear to listen. One is where am I. Should be simple enough unless this is some sort of mass kidnapping scheme."

[Nanites? That... was possible. But why would they?]

"The second should be obvious enough to anyone with as much sense as their momma gave them, and that's how do I get to somewhere I know. Ideally Zenobia, but since half the known universe has never heard of it, I'd settle for a ticket to the Fat Chance Casino on Lorelei. I've got the coins to pay my way, so not askin' for a dime from you nice people, just directions to the nearest shuttle headed my way. So, whatcha say. Think you could kindly help a girl out?"

[And if they were all kidnapped too... well... The Captain would help. She just knew he would. Once she got done explaining it to him, anyway.]

The former question is indeed simple; you're in Nautilus, the City of Change.

The latter request however, is a great deal more complicated. There are no ships here that can return you to Zenobia, or any other world you know, because Nautilus in in a dimension outside your own. You didn't arrive here by whatever you consider conventional means, but but answering the city's call to Wake, and it's highly unlikely that you'll be able to return home immediately.

[It's probably not the first time that someone's set to wandering around, trying to find their bearings. It's probably not the second time, or the thirty-second - or even the five hundredth and fifty-second, for that matter. There's possibly maybe not so many of times that involve a young man in a kilt pulling faces at his surroundings, but who knows, really?]

Och. Now what? I thought we'd left that place behind for good.

[Maybe they have, or maybe they haven't. All he knows is that there's fog here, and it's getting thicker, so maybe he might be forgiven for creeping cautiously down the street and trying to peer in the odd window or trying the odd door to see if it'll open.

Or maybe not, because even with the fog that kilt of his is definitely red and when there's enough light it's still fairly visible. He has a plan for being spotted, though, which pretty much involves him trying to bluff his way out of the situation by lifting his hand and giving a friendly wave.]

[Billy is not feeling his best, if he's honest with himself. To learn that his entire prior life was...well not a lie, not exactly, but largely insignificant? It's a lot to take in at once. And he'd just started to feel confident in himself as a hero too! Back to square zero. Such was life.

But he wasn't one to sit idly by. He had to learn the ins and outs of the wakened state if he wished to survive, even if Bending wasn't a concept that came naturally. He'd attended his first classes at the school and set up in the southern forest near the welcome house with his homework, creating a simple bowl of rice. He folded his hands, concentrated, and...well, created a bowl of milk. He set it next to the last four with a sigh.]

It looks like the only thing my mind can create is mush.

[He laughed at his terrible joke, then flopped back against the grass to watch a passing cloud. After earning nothing but a headache, it was probably time for a break.]

She was wearing a large backpack, a death ray on one hip, and was building something as she walked, which was what was distracting her....

[Well, okay. Out of all of the weird dreams that he's had, this had to be the weirdest of them all. That dream about eating fries with his ex who then turned into a pile of snakes was a close contender, though.

[--faceplants right into the ground. Well, that was embarrassing and painful. So it's not a dream. He lifts his head up, looking around to see if there's anyone around. If he catches sight of someone, he'll yell:]

EXCUSE ME! Do you know what plane of existence this is?

[...yeah, alright, the whole 'trying to fly' shtick is kind of unique. he at least has that going for him over every other new arrival.]

[To be perfectly and entirely honest, finding himself in strange new places is something that should... be less familiar, perhaps. Or at least, perhaps less frequent than it's been. But even so, he has to admit that if this is simply something like a fever dream, it's certainly one that holds more promise than what he might otherwise have to look forward to for the foreseeable future.

It does also occur to him that if he's arrived somewhere that certain other parties might have done so, but for the time being that's a thought that he puts out of his mind. There will be time enough to worry about that later. Once he's gotten his bearings a little, and to that end he picks a direction more or less at random and heads that way until either he can't, or he finds someone who at least looks like they might have some idea.]

I apologize for any inconvenience, [he begins, once he does come across someone] but you wouldn't happen to know where this is? I don't recognize it.

[And given just how many places he's visited, that's not something he can say of just anywhere.]

[It gets easier, as time goes on, to recognize newcomers to the city. Even if they didn't all ask the same question (not that she could blame them-- it was a good question to ask), they had a certain look about them. Romana couldn't claim to know every resident in Nautilus, but she was nonetheless fairly confident in her ability to spot new arrivals. And this very much looked like one of those cases.

She considered it fortunate that at least this one had taken the initiative to hunt down answers for himself. Some just sat around by the gates for hours (or what felt like hours, at least, given the city's lack of time) until someone stumbled across them.]

Long story. [The answer's accompanied by a tight smile, in part to assure that it wasn't any inconvenience and in part because... well, 'long story' was quite a bit of an understatement. Might as well start with the honest basics.] But the city's called Nautilus-- you know, really, I'd find it more surprising if you did recognize it. It's outside of normal time and space, after all.

[Finding himself in a new place isn't something that Bendy is quite particularly a fan of. As he's looking around at his surroundings, he tries to get a better feel to where he is -- trying to see if it's maybe some new cartoon Joey had drawn up for him...

Before he remembers that Joey isn't exactly in his life anymore, and he groans to himself. He shakes off the excess ink he can feel dripping off his arms, before he points to a random passerby with his signature smile forming on his face. When he knows he's grabbed their attention, he puts his hands on his hips and sways back and forth between the heels of his feet to the tips of his toes.]

Evenin'! Or, mornin', or whatever, I'unno. I've got a question for 'ya! Mind tellin' me exactly where I am? I don't recognize this place, an' it's safe to assume this ain't the animation studio.

[The video appears to be blurry for a good few seconds before it finally focuses on a pair of eyes examining the camera.]

[The person scrambles back to reveal that he's some sort of...pharmacist. He grins wickedly at his audience.]

Aha! Greetings, citizens of Nautilus! It is I, the evil Doctor Doofenshmirtz! I have a special surprise for all of you nice, sock-wearing people out there, and by special I mean terrible!

[He stretches out an arm to turn the camera towards what appears to be an extremely complicated-looking device. On the side, there's a huge, red button that reads "SELF DESTRUCT" and a significantly smaller green button that reads "START".]

BEHOLD! The Matching-Sock-Eradicator-inator! Eradi...Eradicatornator--oh, you get what I mean. [He turns the camera back to him.] Anyways, when I was a child, my parents didn't want to buy me my own pairs of socks, so I was forced to use hand-me-down socks from my brother, Roger. Most of the time, when he gave me his socks, it was because he had lost the other pair in the washing machine, so I was forced to wear mismatched socks for all my life. All the kids made fun of me and how my socks didn't match! So, then I decided, if I can't have matching socks, no one can!

With a push of this button, I will eliminate the entire Northern District's left socks, and everyone will be forced feel the pain and embarrassment of not having any matching socks! Unless, of course, you give me control of the entire Northern District! You have-- [He glances down at his watch.] --three hours until your socks disappear forever!

[He moves to terminate the video, and a few clicking noises are heard. His expression becomes irked.]

This has got to be some kind of joke. There is no way that this is real. Hands in his trouser pockets, he squints around, as he has been doing for the past hour and a half, waiting for the scene to reassert itself and make some kind of sense. Did he eat something strange? No. He can't even remember the last time he ate. Maybe it was overwork. Taking a deep breath he ran a hand over his face and squinted once more at the strange forest he'd found himself in.

"I need to get more sleep." And, with nothing else to do, starts forward.
